Shadowgate

Abstraction Games has announced that it is revitalizing the classic point-and-click adventure game Shadowgate. As part of a partnership with original developer Zojoi, it’ll be releasing on Switch this fall.

Shadowgate on Switch will contain “a refined user interface and intuitive wheel-based icon command system.” There’s new content as well thanks to “tons of new mind-bending puzzles, lots of new rooms with stunning hand-painted 2D graphical detail, and more objects to interact with and help players along on their quest.”

Kairsoft has announced a trio of titles coming to Switch in Japan next week. Game Dev Story, Hot Springs Story, Dungeon Village are all slated for October 11.

Ubisoft uploaded a pair of character trailers for Starlink: Battle for Atlas. We have videos for Fox McCloud and Mason Rana below.

Later this week, Timberman VS is getting a notable update. Forever Entertainment has announced that online multiplayer will be added when the patch goes live on Friday.

Specifics about how online play haven’t been shared, but the game is about slicing and dicing trees while challenging friends to be the fastest timberman alive.

To promote the new launch of Super Mario Party, Nintendo has teamed up with Lunchables. Coinciding with the release of October 5, imagery of the iconic characters from the game will be featured on select Lunchables packaging on store shelves across the U.S. Meanwhile, Lunchables is offering fans a chance to win special Super Mario Party prize packs throughout the delicious promotion, which lasts through December.

All Lunchables boxes with the Super Mario Party branding will come with a code. That can be used on the official website here to win one of 500 Super Mario Party prize packs. The package includes a Switch system, a copy of Super Mario Party, an extra pair of Joy-Con controllers, a branded Switch carrying case, and My Nintendo points.

Kalypso Media and SomaSim have set a final release date for Project Highrise: Architect’s Edition. Europe will be getting it first on October 26. In North America, the game will follow on November 13.

Splash Blast Panic

Splash Blast Panic is coming to the Switch eShop this Thursday. For a look at some gameplay footage, watch the video below.

Splatoon 2’s 4.1.0 will be going live tomorrow or later today (depending on your time zone); alongside the final new stage to be added to the game, Skipper Pavilion, four more weapons from the Kensa Collection will be available:

The latest trailer for Persona Q2 is a little bit different than usual: it showcases who is presumably the first boss you encounter in the game, “Kamoshidaman”. Based on the villainous teacher from Persona 5, Kamoshida, Kamoshidaman is, at least according to this in-universe movie, a superhero who fights for justice:
