Cats on Duty

ESDigital Games and Prikol Team today announced its upcoming Switch game Cats on Duty. News regarding launch timing has not been provided.

Cats on Duty features a mix of real-time strategy, tower defense, and match-3 mechanics. In the game, heavily armed battle-hardened cat veterans of rodent skirmishes and yarn tangles take charge in defending their homeland (and litter boxes) against the forces of great evil.

Cat Quest III

The first gameplay trailer for Cat Quest III has just come in.

Outside oft he video, it also looks like the project has received a name change. When it was announced earlier this year, it was given the title Cat Quest: Pirates of the Purribean.

Fitness Boxing removed eShop

Nintendo and Imagineer will be removing Fitness Boxing from the Switch eShop, the two companies have announced.

This appears to be a worldwide decision. The news is already confirmed for Europe and Japan so Nintendo should be following up soon for North American users as well.

Pokemon GO A Paldean Adventure event starters Lechonk

A Paldean Adventure has been unveiled as the next major event for Pokemon GO, and it starts next week.

Paldea Pokemon were confirmed for the mobile game during the latest Pokemon Presents presentation. The event introducing them involves players taking on Special Research complete with branching paths to introduce the new Pokemon. Paldean starters and Lechonk will all be appearing for the first time.

Enraged Red Ogre

Original (6/28): Akaoni Studio, the team behind Zombie Panic in Wonderland, has announced Enraged Red Ogre as its next project. Switch will be getting the game in Fall 2023.

Enraged Red Ogre is a 2D adventure title with action and platforming, and it features a grumpy red ogre with incredible strength. More information can be found in the following overview:

LISA: Definitive Edition update

Serenity Forge and Dingaling Productions have issued a new update for LISA: Definitive Edition.

Various quality of life improvements are included. It also adds support for Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Russian (with Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean to follow).

Hamster has announced Kadash as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch. A worldwide release is planned for August 31, 2023.

An Action RPG first released by Taito in 1989, in Kadash the player chooses one of the four heroes and sets out on a journey to rescue Princess Sarasa. NPCs you meet along the way will provide hints on your next course of action, encouraging players to interact with them.

Arcade Archives Kadash will cost $7.99 / €6.99 / £6.29 on the Switch eShop.

Wildfrost "A Better Adventure" update

Wildfrost has gone live with a new update dubbed “A Better Adventure”.

The patch includes a new leader selection system, more rewards, an overhaul of the enemy wave system, and target preview for enemies. That’s on top of bug fixes and some other aspects.

Fire Emblem Heroes Alear: Awoken Divinity

Fire Emblem Heroes has announced its latest Legendary Hero, which will be Alear: Awoken Divinity from Fire Emblem Engage.

The character is voiced by Laura Stahl and features art from Kousei Horiguchi. Alear’s lineup of skills include Dragon’s Fist, Dragon Blast, Atk/Spd Finish 4, Null-C Disrupt 4, and Atk/Spd Pledge.

The Alear: Awoken Divinity event for Fire Emblem Heroes goes live on  August 31, 2023. Players will also be able to summon previously released 5-star Legendary Heroes and Mythic Heroes.

Splatoon 3 update 5.0.0

Nintendo just delivered the full, massive patch notes for the Splatoon 3 version 5.0.0 update.

The update will accompany Drizzle Season 2023, which will include new content and features. That means a new catalog, new stages, new weapons’, and more. You can read a bunch more about it here.

Outside of content, many changes are planned to multiplayer Splatfests, and more. Expect a bunch of bug fixes as well.
