Nintendo boss on company’s approach to new tech

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa has weighed in on how the company approaches new technology.
In an interview with NHK translated by Nintendo Everything, Furukawa indicated rather than pursuing tech for the sake of it, it’s instead about “how they can lead to revolutions in the act of play itself.” Also mentioned is that Nintendo is pursuing new technology in general, but isn’t focusing on one specific area.

Bomb Rush Cyberfunk Switch gameplay

CyberTD, deckbuilding tower defense game, planned for Switch

Clockwork Origins has announced that it will be releasing CyberTD on Switch. Its release window on the platform is officially “TBA”, though it could drop this year.
To put it simply, CyberTD is deckbuilding tower defense game in which mutant viruses threaten the heart of cyberspace. Roguelite elements are included to help keep the experience fresh.

Alice Escaped! out on Switch next week

Alice Escaped! has received a final release date on Switch. It’ll launch on August 24, 2023, publisher Sekai Project and developer illuCalab have announced.
Alice Escaped!, a side-scrolling Metroidvania game, was first announced for Switch at the end of last year. Although it came to PC a few months back, we’ve been waiting for it on Nintendo’s console.

Post Void receiving physical release on Switch

Super Rare Games is working on a physical version of Post Void for Switch, the company announced today.
The title will have 3,000 copies, split between 2,000 standard editions and 1,000 steelbooks. The standard version comes with the game on a physical cartridge, a full-color manual, an exclusive sticker, and trading cards. The Steelbook Edition has everything we just mentioned plus the stylish steelbook case.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R has just revealed Leone Abbacchio as a new DLC character.
Leone will be kicking off the game’s second season pass. He’s representing Part 5: Golden Wind, but we’ll also be seeing two more characters from Part 4: Diamond is Unbreakable and Part 8: JoJolion.

Kentucky Route Zero: TV Edition has been on Switch for a few years now, but you might be interested to hear that it just received a new “Postmodern” update.
The update includes an overhaul of the user interface, called “Modern” mode. On top of that, the game has added new language support and improvements to existing translations, along with bug fixes and improvements.

Kasedo Games and developer Beard Envy are working together to bring Uncle Chop’s Rocket Shop to Switch, the two sides announced today. A release is planned for 2024 – stay tuned for an exact date.
