Ghostpia Season One trailer

To celebrate the new launch, PQube and Room 6 have uploaded a trailer for Ghostpia Season One. It shows off the picture book style visual novel once more.

Haruka: Beyond the Star

Atelier Mimina, the studio behind Giraffe and Annika, today unveiled Haruka: Beyond the Star as its next project. The game is due out on Switch in 2025.

Haruka: Beyond the Stars, a juvenile sci-fi RPG, involves the intergalactic adventures of the protagonist, Yuuki, and a mysterious girl named Miiya. The two go off on a spaceship and explore unique planets. 

Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun launch trailer

A new trailer has been published to celebrate the launch of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, an explosive homage to the retro shooters of yore set in Games Workshop’s universe. This one was just made available on Switch.

Buddy Simulator 1984 physical

Buddy Simulator 1984 has previously been on the Switch eShop, but a physical release is now happening as well. Limited Run Games will be offering it through its distribution line.

Only a standard version of the game will be available. There are no plans for a special edition at this time.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos

Natsume today provided a release date for Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos and unveiled a limited edition. The game launches for Switch on September 26, 2023.

Harvest Moon: The Winds of Anthos will have a limited edition via NIS America. Copies include a copy of the game, original soundtrack, Harvest Moon 25th anniversary sleepytime cow plush, an animal lapel pin set (set of six), and a collector’s edition. Pre-orders are open here.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope The Last Spark Hunter

Ubisoft has issued the first teaser trailer for Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope’s next DLC, The Last Spark Hunter.

It was previously said that the DLC will feature a new foe to fight on a new planet. Based on today’s video, it looks like players will end up on the Melodic Gardens.

Mortal Kombat 1

Original (5/18): Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios are bringing Mortal Kombat 1 to Switch, the two sides just announced. A release is planned for September 19, 2023.

Mortal Kombat 1 “will introduce a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe that has been created by the Fire God Liu Kang, featuring reimagined versions of iconic characters as they’ve never been seen before.” Story Mode is back “with an immersive cinematic narrative featuring unexpected twists on classic rivalries and original backstories for a wide-ranging cast of legendary fighters, including Liu Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, and many others.” Something new this time around are Kameo Fighters, which are partner characters that can assist during matches.

Dead Cells Clean Cut update

Original (4/27): Yet another update is inbound for Dead Cells, with this one being called “Clean Cut”.

Two new weapons, additions to the Boss Rush and Training Room (including the Return to Castlevania bosses), Speedrun Mode, and the ability to put the Bobby head on most outfits are included. There’s other aspects as well including the usual balance adjustments and fixes.

The latest UK software sales chart is in for the week ending May 20, 2023, and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still seeing success.

Nintendo’s Switch title remains at the top spot even though it dropped by 73 percent week-on-week. While that sounds significant, this is actually typical for a game with big first week sales.
