Butch Hartman, the creator of Fairly OddParents, has his own YouTube show in which he draws fan-requested characters in the cartoon show’s style. In his newest video, Nintendo is heavily featured. Hartman created his own takes on the Splatoon squid, Link, Pikachu, and Mario. Sonic was also thrown in since he’s often associated with Nintendo these days. We have the video below.

One teenager has been stopping by the Best Buy in Valley Stream, New York every day to play Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. Keeping in line with the holiday spirit, associates from the store’s Appliances Department chipped in collectively to get him a console of his own before Christmas.
The heartfelt moment was recorded on camera:
One of the Best Buy employees apparently offered to drive the teenager home so that he wouldn’t have to walk home alone with it. Even though the video has resulted in negative comments, it’s nice to see that there’s some good in the world!

Fans come up with new theory about the fate of King Bob-omb in Super Mario 64
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Random | 9 Comments
In Super Mario 64, King Bob-omb awaits you as the boss of Bob-omb Battlefield. On the way up to the top of the mountain where the battle takes place, players need to navigate through a pit of two rolling balls.
What happens after you defeat him is very interesting. Instead of two balls, the pit will instead have three on every star following the battle. Fans now believe that the new ball is King Bomb-omb himself.
The first bob-omb you come across in Bob-omb Battlefield will mention that the King was a “dud.” Coupled with the fact that the ball would resemble the King if given facial features, the theory is definitely plausible. Some players may have noticed some of these things in the past, but they’ve definitely not been widespread.

Masuda on what it’s like inside of a Pokeball
Posted on 8 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Random | 12 Comments
Have you ever wondered what it’s like for a Pokemon to be inside of a Pokeball? Kotaku asked this burning question to Junichi Masuda of Game Freak, who is a long-time developer on the series.
On that topic, Masuda had this to say:
“I think it’s safe to say that it’s very comfortable inside inside of a Pokeball, it’s a very comfortable environment. Maybe the equivalent of a high-end suite room in a fancy hotel.”
This is certainly good to hear. Pokemon deserve the utmost comfort!

Paper Mario: Color Splash has a different washing machine model in North America and Europe

Here’s something rather strange about Paper Mario: Color Splash. In the North American and European versions, the washing machine design differs between the two regions. For those who are unaware, this is one of the “Thing” cards in the game.
It’s currently unclear why two unique models were prepared. This sort of makes you wonder what’s in the Japanese version!
Zelda: Wind Waker Easter egg lets you defeat one of the bosses right away with an unconventional item

In The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, the Forest Water is primarily used to heal Withered Forest Trees during an early part of the game. However, YouTube user Fish_waffle64 recently came across another usage: to essentially kill one of the game’s bosses instantly.
The Kalle Demos boss fight is normally a battle that would take the average player several minutes to complete. But if you use the Forest Water after exposing its core with the boomerang, it’ll go down right away.
Here’s a look:
What’s amazing about this is that the Easter egg works in the original Wind Waker on GameCube as well as the HD version on Wii U. That means, technically, the opportunity for it to be spread widely online has been there for years. It doesn’t really seem like something that’s really been publicized though!
Thanks to Jake for the tip.
Pokemon GO player robbed while streaming the game on Twitch

While playing Pokemon GO last night, Twitch user Rickeybot was assaulted and robbed in New York’s Central Park. It all took place as the game was being streamed. Luckily, the assailant’s face was shown on camera, which should make it easier for police to take action.
Before heading to the hospital, Rickeybot reported the crime. Those watching the broadcast on Twitch also put in calls to the police.
Rickeybot did post the following on Twitter earlier today:
I got mugged playing Pokémon GO in Central Park. Still talking to police and will go to hospital soon. My jaw is a mess. Thanks all.

Hey guys, thanks again for everything! I have it all on video and it is better quality than the VOD, so passing the vid to the police asap

We’ve posted a video of the situation after the break. Obviously it isn’t the best thing to watch!
