XSEED Games and Marvelous have officially announced that Rune Factory 4 is slated for release in Europe – as well as Australia – next week. It’s due out on December 11 for £24.99 / €29.99 / $49.95 AUD.

Head past the break for the official announcement.

The Pokémon Company announced today that they have shipped over 7.7 million units of the latest Pokémon games, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, since their release on November 21st. A week ago we reported that the games’ sales had topped 3 million, so it looks like last week’s European release gave the games quite a decent boost. The previous Pokémon games, X and Y, are still the highest selling 3DS games with 13.29 million copies sold, so it’ll be interesting to see if these new remakes manage to catch up to them. Given that the Pokémon company are listing Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire’s sales as a 135% increase over X and Y, it could be a possibility. For a comparison, the original Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire versions on the Game Boy Advance collectively sold 16.22 million units worldwide, making them the best-selling titles on the console.

Curve Studios is teaming up with Roll7 to bring the critically acclaimed 2D precision trick-based skating game OlliOlli to new platforms, including Wii U and 3DS. Expect it out early next year on the eShop. Curve released a teaser trailer for OlliOlli’s new versions, which can be found above.

It’s been a long wait for Rune Factory 4 in Europe, but the game appears to be arriving next week. The 3DS eShop currently lists a December 11 release date – that’d be next Thursday. It’s technically not confirmed, though I’d say that date is very likely at the moment.
