The latest Azure Striker Gunvolt update comes from Famitsu, who introduces rival character Acura.

Acura is “a psychic hunter who does not belong to any faction, but harbors a strong hatred towards the Sumeragi Group psychics. While he does not possess any psychic powers of his own, he is able to steal and analyze the psychic power factors of other psychics. He wields a weapon that mimics such powers and stands in Gunvolt’s way.”

Inti Creates confirmed yesterday that Nintendo of America has Azure Striker Gunvolt, and a US release date would be revealed soon. Now we know when the announcement will be taking place: next Monday.

The latest update for Steel Diver: Sub Wars is here. Premium-version players get new local Friend Battle stages, new unlockable subs and crew, and new features that make it even easier to battle online with friends. UFO Interactive Games – Johnny Impossible, Samurai Sword Destiny, Zombie Slayer Diox and additional UFO Interactive games are on sale starting on Aug. 12 at 9 a.m. PT until Sept. 2 at 9 a.m. PT in the Nintendo eShop on Nintendo 3DS.
Bear Box Media – Internal Invasion is reduced from $4.99 to $1.99 until 9 a.m. PT on Aug. 8 in the Nintendo eShop on Wii U.

Three games have been confirmed for release on the North American eShops next week. Gaiabreaker (Wii U), Gothic Masquerade (3DS), Amida’s Path (3DS/DSiWare) are all due out on August 14. Soon Shine was also previously confirmed for the same day.

Yacht Club Games is currently planning Shovel Knight’s launch for Japan, which may (or may not) directly involve Nintendo.

One fan asked the studio on Twitter if there are any arrangements with Nintendo to get the indie game out on the Japanese eShop. Yacht Club wrote back with the following:
