Free Etrian Odyssey Nexus 3DS theme out now

Looking to expand your 3DS theme collection? Atlus has readied a new design, and it’s entirely free. Head on over to the 3DS theme shop to download one based on Etrian Odyssey Nexus.
The game itself is due out in the west very soon. A release is planned on February 5.
Nintendo Selects – Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, Super Mario Maker, Star Fox 64 3D pre-orders open

A new batch of Nintendo Selects were announced this week. Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D, Super Mario Maker, and Star Fox 64 3D are joining the line at the start of next month.
Amazon has now opened pre-orders for all three. Reserve Zelda here, Mario Maker here, and Star Fox 64 here. They’ll all be out on February 4.
The top 100 best-selling games in Japan of 2018

This week’s issue of Famitsu has a new report on the Japanese gaming industry for 2018. The publication shared a listing of the top 100 best-selling games. Nintendo ended up doing very well last year with 9,918,000 copies of software sold.

Nintendo president differentiates Switch / mobile games, talks future of 3DS and Labo, eSports, Chinese market

Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa recently participated in an interview with Kyoto Shimbun, which was published just a few days ago. The company’s boss weighed in on selling 20 million Switch units by the end of the fiscal year and needing a steady stream of games for the system, mobile (including keeping smartphone games separate from Switch), and the future of 3DS. He also teased future plans for Labo, touched on eSports, and commented on looking towards the Chinese market.
