January is just about over, which means the lineup of critters will soon be refreshed in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. The lineup of bugs, fish, and underwater creatures are set to be swapped out in the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

Marvelous says No More Heroes 1 and 2 for Switch saw strong sales in North America and Europe

As part of its latest financial results, Marvelous provided a status update on the sales of No More Heroes 1 and 2 on Switch. Both games experienced strong sales in North America and Europe, according to the company. Specific data was not provided.
No More Heroes 1 and 2 made it to Switch last October as digital downloads on the eShop. The games first launched for Wii a decade ago. The next entry in the series, No More Heroes 3, will finally launch in 2021 following a delay.

Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury frame rate and resolution details

A few tidbits have come in concerning the performance of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
By all accounts, the main game brought over from Wii U runs at 60 frames per second in docked and handheld modes. With Bowser’s Fury though, things are a bit more complicated.

Bolverk Games has uploaded a launch trailer for Glyph, its open-world 3D platformer. Get a look at the video below.
Glyph is live on the Switch eShop in Europe. The North American release is set for February 1.

Reggie points to Switch as his “lasting memory” at Nintendo, talks the need for a hit after Wii U’s poor performance

Earlier this week, former Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime participated in a joint interview with Jack Tretton and Robbie Bach, who were previously the leading executives for PlayStation and Xbox.
At one point, Reggie was asked about his defining achievement at Nintendo. He pointed to Switch, which has seen incredible success following the disappointment that was the Wii U.

As part of a Famitsu interview featuring Astral Chain director Takahisa Taura, supervisor Hideki Kamiya, and Yoko Taro from Square Enix, there was discussion about all three developers being the type to include a lot of variety in their games.
Astral Chain was one of PlatinumGames’ latest titles, and contained some detective segments and different types of mini-games like ice cream and box juggling. Taura recognizes that some players weren’t fans of those extras, but feels their existence is justified since they’re not mandatory.

Otome visual novel Steam Prison hitting Switch in February, demo out now

HuneX has announced that the otome visual novel Steam Prison will release for Switch on February 25. Ahead of the title’s launch, fans can download a demo now. Players can take on Eltcreed’s route until the “My Queen” ending. Note that save data can’t be carried over to the full version.
