Darkest Dungeon II Inhuman Bondage

Red Hook Studios has shared details about new DLC for Darkest Dungeon II, known as Inhuman Bondage.

The DLC brings along the reclusive alchemist Abomination, who’s making a return to the series. Also in the works are the Catacombs, a new region with new slime sodden enemies and new items.

Also worth noting, Darkest Dungeon II will be adding The Hunger of the Beast Clan. This is the first of three thematic modules of the brand new game mode Kingdoms, which will be offered as a free update.

Core Keeper delayed

July 31: Core Keeper, which was originally expected on Switch in about a month, has now been delayed.

The team put out a statement today that the title will now be releasing on September 17, 2024. Originally, it was slated for August 27. Note that the move affects both the physical release and digital version of the game.

Date Everything delayed

Just ahead of its planned launch, Team17 and Sassy Chap Games are delaying Date Everything. The game will now come to all platforms, including Switch, on February 14, 2025.

Date Everything was originally planned for October 24. The new launch date was provided in the State of Build announcement trailer, in which lead designer Ray Chase shares what the team’s been up to these past months, the game’s current state, never before revealed characters and some unexpected discoveries during development.

With the release of Nick Jr. Party Adventure on Switch today, Bandai Namco have shared a launch trailer to give players another look at what the game has to offer.

Magic Cats Pots

October 1: Today, RedDeerGames announced that it’s developing Magic Cats Pots for Switch. A release date for the title will follow later.

Magic Cats Pots is a puzzle game at its core. Players are tasked with restoring broken porcelain and revealing hidden magic.

Bioframe Outpost

Omni Systems Publishing is releasing Bioframe Outpost on Switch, the developer revealed today. The game already has a release date of November 7, 2024.

Bioframe Outpost is a sci-fi action adventure title with photography-based mechanics and gameplay. Players will be tasked with using photography to learn how creatures behave in the game and fill up their “Compendium”, with survival being the ultimate goal.

Nintendo Switch Online Playtest Program guidelines

In an official notice tied to the Switch Online: Playtest Program, Nintendo is requesting that users do not share content from the event.

The trial was announced yesterday with sign-ups happening earlier today. However, fans were quick to discover a notice that states: “We request that you do not discuss or disclose content from either the Nintendo Switch Online: Playtest Program test software or website with others.”

GSD data provides a look at the best-selling games across Europe in September 2024. It’s based on data for all physical game releases in major markets plus digital game sales from most major publishers.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, which was a new release at the very end of the month, lands at #8. As usual, no physical sales are included, which could have put the game higher. With that said, Echoes of Wisdom’s sales are 15 percent lower that of the Link’s Awakening remake in 2019.
