The Flame in the Flood couldn’t be off to a better start on Switch. Curve Digital publishing director Simon Byron mentioned on Twitter today that the game “smashed it” on the console, in which he wrote:

MCV followed up with Byron for more on The Flame in the Flood’s Switch debut. He said that the game “had its best ever day on any console since we’ve been publishing it, beating any other format we have launched on.” Byron was anticipating a certain figure in his mind, but the actual result “was a third over that.”

This year, we’ve started to hear about a few Switch games that will support cross-platform play. Rocket League and Minecraft are just a couple of titles that intend to incorporate the functionality. Cross-play allows for Switch, Xbox One, and PC users to play online together.

You can add the shooter Crazy Justice to the lineup of games that will be integrating cross-play. Black Riddle Studios shared the news on Twitter with a brief video, which we have below.

Nintendo has unveiled another rare Blade for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. On the official Japanese Twitter account, we’re given a first look at Uka.

Uka is designed by Nakaba Higurashi, was largely involved with the Baten Kaitos games. M·A·O. (Mao Ichimichi) voices the character.

This week, Splatoon 2 is getting not one, but two new weapons. The Custom E-liter 4K is identical to the regular E-liter 4K, except that it comes with the Squid Beakon sub-weapon and the Bubble Blower special. The Custom E-liter 4K Scope will also be added to the game. Just like the Scope version of the regular E-liter 4K, this one has a longer range, but can’t store a charged shot. It also comes with the Squid Beakon sub-weapon and the Bubble Blower special.

Both weapons will be available tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and later in the evening today in North America.

Original: The newest update for Pokken Tournament DX is will soon be available for players to download. The update brings online team battles, new rewards when you reach higher ranks in Ranked Match online, recording feature to Free Training and various other small fixes. A new trailer, which is down below, shows off three new heroes coming off to Fire Emblem Heroes as well as the paralogue quests that come with them. These heroes include Tailtiu, Deirdre, and Sigurd. On top of that there are new sacred coin quests so that you can forge and enhance some seals.
