Nintendo has a new update being prepared for Miitomo. It’s not massive, but Nintendo says that “Mii creation will be updated to Nintendo Switch standards, with new skin and hair colors, glasses options and more”. Performance improvements are also planned.

We should be seeing the new Miitomo update “soon”. That likely means this week, or within the next few days.

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed a new entry in the Sumikko Gurashi series. Titled Sumikko Gurashi: Sumikko Park e Youkoso, this party game will be released on the Switch on December 7th. As with past entries in the series, a localization seems extremely unlikely, but with the Switch being region-free, you’ll at least be able to easily grab the Japanese version.

The latest issue of Famitsu has revealed a new 3DS game: Medabots Classics, a collection of the first five Medabots games, which were initially released on the Game Boy (Medabots 1) and the Game Boy Color (Medabots 2 – 5). The games will receive some upgrades and new features, though we don’t know the extent of those yet.

Like some recent games in the series, Medabots Classics will be released as two separate versions, Kabuto and Kuwagata. There is also going to be a special limited edition with a CD and an illustration book.

We don’t know for sure yet, but a Western release of this collection seems fairly unlikely. Still, we’ll keep you updated should any news come out.

In preparation of the upcoming voting gauntlet there will be two summoning focuses where you will be able to obtain the heroes in the bracket. One focus has all the men: Roy, Ike, Hector and Chrom. The other focus contains the women: Lyn, Camilla, Lucina and Tharja. Remember you won’t have to use an orb on your first summon for either of these focuses. Each focus will last until September 6th.

A number of new items have been added to Miitomo. Among the selection you’ll find in the app, the following are now available:

– Tie-dye dress
– Simple cuffed high-tops
– Ocarina necklace

These items can be obtained by using Miitomo coins in Miitomo Shop.
