Nintendo Switch

News is in from the latest NPD report. For the month of August, Switch was the best-selling hardware platform, outperforming the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the United States. NPD analyst Mat Piscatella added that “Switch has been the best-selling platform in four of the six months since launching in March 2017.”

According to Piscatella, hardware spending has increased 17 percent this year so far versus 2016 to $1.7 billion. Switch as well as plug-n-play devices like the NES Classic Edition “are providing growth.”
