SDK Paint version 4 trailer, details

HullBreach Studios has prepared a new trailer for SDK Paint version 4, posted below. Here’s the video:
The indie developer also passed along a bunch of details about what’s included in the update. Continue on below for the full breakdown.
We are so grateful for all the support from gamers over the past 18 months, so we wanted this grande finale before moving to SDK Spriter. For those new to SDK Paint: it’s a layer based art studio that supports painting, pixel art, filters, effects, and more. It doesn’t stop there, though. The extra features are what I am covering:
STENCILS: These are grayscale underlay images that can be traced to help create some amazing art. With this update, there are 25 new (free!) Stencils, including Renaissance Art, Post-Renaissance Art, Asian Art, and a Tomeling: Darkness Falls UV map. With the update, existing art can be loaded into the Painting screen after importing a Stencil, which makes continuing where you left off even easier!
GALLERIES: These are 3D raycasted rooms with the art hanging on the walls. They support several controller schemes and contain many shaders and effects. Now, all Galleries are 720P resolution with enhanced shaders – like depth-of-field – and gain selectable background music. 4 Galleries are included, and 12 more are available as DLC.
SLIDESHOWS: These are completely new to this version. They are animated transitions between existing art, with accompanying music. Speed and background color are customizable. 2 Slideshows are included, and 6 more are available as DLC. SHARING: Previously, this screen supported posting art to Miiverse⢠in 2D or layer-expanded anaglyph 3D. Now, with this update, Miiverse gains stamps. Yet, the big new feature is the Online Gallery athttps://gallery.sdkpaint.com. This website lets artists post their art online with all layers intact. The art can be viewed in a variety of image formats, including the 3D MPO format on the Nintendo 3DS browser! Through this website, art will be able to import into several future Wii U games, including UCraft (NexisGames), HullBreach: Uncloaked, Tomeling: Darkness Falls, and U Match It! (all HullBreach Studios). Thank you, once again, for all your support! We hope you will enjoy v4 as much as we do!

Civil War Spider-Man on the way to LEGO Marvel’s Avengers

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will be adding a new Spider-Man character pack featuring the character from Civil War, USA Today reports. The new content is set to arrive “soon”.
Warner Bros. and TT Games have been updating LEGO Marvel’s Avengers with DLC on Wii U, so Spider-Man should be on that platform for sure. USA Today mentions 3DS as well, but I believe that’s less certain.

Yooka-Laylee – story info, collectibles, Toybox demo for Kickstarter backers in July, more
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 19 Comments
Playtonic has started its big blowout of Yooka-Laylee today. New content about the game is being unveiled, and even more updates will be shared over the next few weeks. The team is also “getting close” to settling on some launch news.
Read on below for today’s update covering topics like the story, collectibles, and a Toybox demo for Kickstarter backers due out in July. There are new images sprinkled throughout as well.
Over the past year the Playtonic team has tripled in size, moved office and quietly slaved away on what would become the final form of Yooka-Laylee. You can see some of the results of our work below and over on the Yooka-Laylee game page.
Thereās lots to talk about ā and today is just the preliminary act. Over the next few weeks weāll hope to wow you with increasingly dazzling dance numbers, first clicking our heels in the new Edge Magazine on May 26, which will be packed full of details and purchasable in both print and digital flavours.
Soon after youāll see eyes-on reports of the final Yooka-Laylee appear on your favourite online channels and video platforms, quickly followed by the hijinks of the Electronic Entertainment Expo. We will of course ensure that Kickstarter backers are kept fully up to date with everything we reveal going forward.
One thing weāre not quite ready to reveal yet is the gameās final, day-and-date release plan, but weāre getting close. The Playtonic team is working towards the same release window penned last year, but as fans of some of our past work will attest, weāre a group committed to releasing games only when theyāre polished, complete and at the quality level you expect. As soon as weāre confident weāve ticked all of those boxes, weāll inform our backers directly of when to mark their calendars.
So without further ado, this is what Yooka-Laylee looks like today.
