Game Informer has now published its full interview with The Legend of Zelda: Tri-Force Heroes director Hiromasa Shikata. Highlights include:

– On how it’s partially inspired by Four Swords in a way, but he didn’t set out to create a sequel to that title
– On why there are 3 players instead of 4
– The importance of fashion in the game
– More talk about communicating online

You can find Shikata’s comments to these various topics (and a couple more) below. The full interview is located here.

The June 2015 NPD report was issued on Thursday. However, as usual, numbers were not revealed. Nintendo did say that combined Wii U and 3DS hardware sales rose by more than 20 percent over the same time frame in 2014, but we didn’t have a specific figure – until now that is.

Rough estimates indicate that the Wii U sold 70,000 units in the U.S. last month. That number is largely based on the information Nintendo provided as well as the chart below supplied by “creamsugar”, who often leaks NPD data.

Wii U was estimated to have sold around 43,000 units in the U.S. during the month of May. That would mean that the console saw a slight bump during June.
