Squareboy vs Bullies: Arena Edition is in the works for Switch and 3DS, Ratalakia Games has confirmed.

Creator Rohan Narang originally published Squareboy vs Bullies in 2015. Here’s the general premise:

Squareboy vs Bullies is an old school beat ’em up game. Those bullies think they can beat up anyone smaller than them and do anything they like. It is time for Squareboy to stand up for himself and show the bullies that he will not be pushed around any more! With your help Squareboy must teach the Bullies the hard way that bullying is wrong!

For the new “Arena Edition” on Switch, Ratalakia Games is including an exclusive co-op mode. Below is a brief look at that in action:

The eShop is currently listing a new game for both Switch. From Petite Games and Ratalakia Games, 36 Fragments of Midnight is currently on track for next week. The European eShop lists the release for September 14.

Here’s an overview:

Your task is to find them, and take them back, but it won’t be easy. In this procedurally generated platform game, you have to avoid deadly lasers, circular saws and spikes to collect all the Fragments, to get their greatest gift. Do you have what it takes to collect all?

Starbreeze, the studio currently working on bringing Payday 2 to Switch, has announced another, somewhat more random title for the system. Geminose: Animal Popstars will be “premiering exclusively” on Switch.

TILMENDOMiNATiON has an early look at Puzzle Box Maker, coming to Switch later this year. View 15 minutes of footage below.

In a recent news post sent out to Switch owners, Nintendo provided a listing of the top ten European eShop downloads for August.

Sonic Mania topped the charts, with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle following close behind. The latter game was available for just a few days in August.

Morphite was initially planned for release on September 7. At the end of August though, the game was pushed back to September 21. Morphite is now seeing another delay specific to Switch.

An unspecified technical issue has resulted in the second delay for Morphite. Unfortunately, it’s not yet clear when the new release date will be.

Below is a video showing the first 16 minutes of Semispheres on the Switch. Made by Vivid Helix, Semispheres is a puzzle game about dual realities.

The game releases on the Switch eShop on September 14th.

The promised update for Overcooked: Special Edition is now live. Version 1.0.1 is out now.

Among other things, the team has improved the game’s frame rate on Switch. Other improvements have also been implemented.

A second patch is already in the works, and will further improve performance.
