Now that Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is out on Switch, we’re able to see how the game holds up from a technical perspective – specifically frame rate and resolution. Digital Foundry delved into these topics in a new video today.
Unfortunately, similar to Grezzo’s remake of Zelda: Link’s Awakening, the main issue plaguing the game currently is the frame rate. Those hoping for a smooth 60 FPS experience might be a little disappointed.

Utawarerumono Trilogy Set is coming to Switch, a Japanese retailer listing reveals. It will be available in Japan on January 30, 2025.
Utawarerumono: Prelude to the Fallen, Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, and Utawarerumono: Mask of Truth are included in the package. The games will be made available separately on March 27.

Game Spark Publishing and 59studio are releasing Wizardry: The Five Ordeals on Switch, the two companies have announced. A release is planned for January 30, 2025.
Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is a dungeon crawler originally made in 2006. Those on Switch will gain access to the main scenario “The Price of Deception,” along with the extra scenarios “Traveler’s Property,” “Children of the King Selene,” “The Devoid of Apotheosis,” “The Pickled Man of Galvan,” and “The Wheels of Flame. Also, with a day-one update, “User Scenarios” can be accessed. “Prisoners of the Battles” and “The Absence of Misericordia” scenarios will be offered as DLC.

It’s taken a few years, but Pumpkin Jack is finally getting the physical release treatment on Switch. Limited Run Games will be in charge of this one.
At least as of now, Pumpkin Jack will only be sold with a standalone copy. No special editions have been announced at this time.

Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut just got a release date, and fans will be happy to hear that it’s only a month away. Serenity Forge and Black Tabby Games have it lined up for October 24, 2024 on Switch.
Remember that Slay the Princess: The Pristine Cut is the definitive version of the game. It features new content, including three new chapters, never-before-seen princesses, expansions to once familiar routes, a new ending, a gallery mode, and new art and dialogue.

Berserk Boy getting physical release on Switch

Red Art Games is working on a physical release of Berserk Boy for Switch, the company announced today. This is planned for Q2 2025.
The standard edition and collector’s edition will be available from multiple retailers at launch. Additionally, a third special edition will be exclusive to Red Art Games’ official online store.

Many games often launch with a day one update, and that’s the case with The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom with version 1.0.1.
This is one of the smaller patches that you’ll see at release. Nintendo said that some issues have been fixed, and that’s it. The company does not elaborate any further on what exactly was addressed.

The developers of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom have spoken a bit about the game’s map, and you might be surprised by just how big it is.
According to Grezzo director Satoshi Terada, the map is eight times the size of Link’s Awakening. That wasn’t always the plan though. Series producer Eiji Aonuma said that it was at first four times the size, but it sounds like the team included quite a bit for players to see and do.
