Nintendo Switch Sports getting basketball as new sport

June 18: Nintendo isn’t finished with Nintendo Switch Sports, and just revealed basketball is coming to the game. It will be available as a free update this summer.
Players can use motion controls to sink as many baskets as they can within the time limit in the solo Three-Point Challenge. Also available, four players can compete locally in Five-Streak Battle or Three-Point Contest, and you can dribble, pass and score in two-on-two matches locally or online.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet detail summer Tera Raid Battle events

We only typically hear about new Tera Raid Battle events for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet one at a time, but a smattering of them were just announced.
New activities are planned starting at the end of this upcoming week. Pikachu, Dondozo, Gimmighoul, and Dragonite will be featured.

June 18: During today’s Nintendo Direct, Koei Tecmo announced Fairy Tale 2. The game launches on Switch this winter.

Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial

Original: We have a heads up on the next Nintendo Switch Online Game Trial in Europe, which will be Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. Those that are interested can pre-load it now.
The trial begins on July 8. Once it’s active, Nintendo Switch Online members can play through the entire game. Then they can transfer all progress over to the finished version once the event wraps up.

If you’re interested in picking up a physical version of Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown for Switch, you’ll be happy to hear that this appears to be happening in Europe.
When we heard about the port earlier this year, it seemed that it would be digital only. That still seems to be the case in North America, but not in Europe. The good news is that Switch is region free, so it’s not too big of a deal.
