To earn each in-game theme, you’ll only need 50 points now as opposed to 100.

More:

Pikachu, Raichu, Alolan Raichu, and Pichu are now appearing more frequently in Max Raid Battles for Pokemon Sword and Pokemon Shield. If you’re lucky enough, you may encounter a Shiny Pikachu.

To participate in this new event, connect your Switch system to the internet. After this, when you see a pillar of light shining from a Pokemon Den in the Wild Area, walk up to it and interact to kick off a Max Raid Battle.

The new Max Raid Battle event featuring Pikachu lasts until August 9 at 4:59 PM PT / 7:59 PM ET.

Sea of Stars

During a live stream today, Sabotage offered up some brand new gameplay footage from its RPG Sea of Stars. Get a look at the footage below.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Twitter shared new data today for the first half of 2020. As part of that, we’ve learned that Animal Crossing was the most tweeted about game of the year so far.

Here’s the complete top ten:

PGA Tour 2K21

One of the features being touted for PGA Tour 2K21 is the game’s course designer functionality. After creating a layout, players can even share their content online.

The unfortunate news for Nintendo fans is that the feature appears to be entirely absent from the Switch version. That information comes from the game’s latest trailer, which clearly mentions this fact at the beginning of the video. We can’t say for certain as to why that is, but perhaps the team felt that they couldn’t get things working properly on the system.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night received its Boss Revenge and Chroma Wheel update on most platforms in July, but it turns out that Switch owners have been forced to wait. The team has now provided an update, stating that the patch should go live on Nintendo’s console “later this month.”

Boss Rush lets players take control of several villains while battling a series of heroes. Chroma Wheel allows for more customization. You can read more about the new Bloodstaind update here.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe

The heavily-rumored Pikmin 3 Deluxe was finally announced today. Nintendo has now opened the teaser site, accessible here. There’s not a ton of content there at present, but it should receive a proper update before launch.

We do want to bring up that the site mentions at the bottom that Switch Lite players are required to use detached Joy-Con. However, this is likely nothing more than an error. If we do happen to hear otherwise, we’ll definitely let you know.

9 Monkeys of Shaolin

More than two years after it was announced and following delays, 9 Monkeys of Shaolin has received a final release date. The game will launch on October 16 both physically and digitally.

Here’s a trailer:

Pikmin 3 Deluxe

Nintendo has revealed the boxart for Pikmin 3 Deluxe, which we have above. The North American version is on the left and the European one is on the right. Obviously the two are pretty much identical outside of the classification tags.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe launches for Switch on October 30.
