Sympathy Kiss review

System: Switch
Release date: February 27, 2024
Developer: Idea Factory
Publisher: Idea Factory

Akari Amasawa is someone that I’m sure plenty of us can relate to: she wakes up in the morning, she goes to work after breakfast, and she comes home in the evening. Rinse and repeat. Her job is one that could be done by basically anyone, and her life is unremarkable. But really, what else can you expect? That’s just life. But even unremarkable circumstances can change, and for Akari, who has been with IT company Estario Corp. as a designer for almost a year, her work life (and, of course, her personal life) is suddenly turned upside-down when she is recruited as part of a small team to save one of the company’s founding apps, which has been losing momentum as it is pushed out by the competition. Her new role is uncertain, and her new colleagues are strangers. In Sympathy Kiss, a new otome title from Idea Factory, you’ll be joining her on her journey to navigate the perilous trenches of work, romance, and life. The choices you’ll make along the way are probably not what most people would do in her situation, but it’s certainly a nice break from the stressors of everyday life.

Minecraft add-ons

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition was updated today, and the Switch version now supports add-ons.

Add-ons can be accessed through the Minecraft Marketplace. Players can use them to bring in new blocks, mobs, items, recipes, and other content to existing worlds and new ones. Add-ons can be combined as well. Players will also be interested to know that they’re easy to install, as they simply needed to be downloaded from the Minecraft Marketplace.

Sifu sales costumes

Sloclap announced the latest sales milestone for Sifu today, revealing that the game has sold over three million copies. That’s based on the worldwide performance across all platforms.

Two new outfits are being released as a free update to celebrate the milestone and two-year anniversary. Players can become fully-fledged Absolvers while donning Risryn’s costume and mask, inspired by the final boss from Sloclap’s first game Absolver. There’s also the street-style inspired jumpsuit highly requested by the Sifu community.

Gylt physical

Gylt, which was only just announced for Switch a few days ago, is now confirmed for physical release on the platform. Tesura Games will be in charge of distribution.

Gylt will have a standard and collector’s edition release on Switch. The latter includes a “school bag” box, Switch cartridge, exclusive reversible cover, A3 double-sided poster: missing and main art, summer workbook, arcade visitor card, cable car ticket, Sally’s student card, Bethelwood card holder, Sally’s pin, stickers sheet, and flashlight. Note that both versions come with a reversible cover.
