Deltarune Chapter 4 development “going better than ever”, not discussing release date yet

In the latest newsletter to fans, Deltarune creator Toby Fox shared an update on development of Chapter 4, but was also quick to caution that we won’t be hearing about a release date anytime soon.
Fox said that more people have been brought on to the team. As for Chapter 4, it’s “going better than ever” and “on track to meet our internal deadline.”
For those interested in a release date, Fox doesn’t seem comfortable setting any deadlines. He explained: “Even if Chapter 4 is completed smoothly, there may be surprise factors, so we’re not at the point where we can make a solid promise”.

Europe’s best-selling games of April 2024

GSD data provides a look at the best-selling games across Europe in April 2024. It’s based on data for all physical game releases in major markets plus digital game sales from most major publishers.
EA Sports FC 24 and Hogwarts Legacy account for Switch games represented in the top ten. Also, sales of the console are down, but the same is also true of Nintendo’s competitors.
Farm life RPG Garden Witch Life coming to Switch

Garden Witch Life is heading to Switch, publisher SOEDESCO and developer FreetimeStudio announced today. It will be available later in 2024.

April 14: New listings have outed that The Quintessential Quintuplets: Memories of a Quintessential Summer and The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Memories Spent With You are both on track for English release in the west.
The Quintessential Quintuplets: Memories of a Quintessential Summer first came to Japan in March 2021. Five Memories Spent With You then debuted in June 2022. The Quintessential Quintuplets: Five Promises Made with Her also made it to Japan last September, though its current status for the west is unclear.

Switch is mainline Pokemon’s most successful platform, highest sales

As we start to wind down on the Switch era, an interesting tidbit has come to light regarding the mainline Pokemon games. Nintendo’s latest console is where the franchise has achieved the most success and highest sales.
Pokemon games have managed to sell over 96 million copies on Switch. Pokemon Sword and Shield are the current best-sellers at 26.27 million. However, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are right behind at 24.92 million. And speaking of Scarlet and Violet, they’re the fastest selling entry in the series and the third best-selling title overall.
