8Bitdo making SN30 and SF30 Pro Controllers, compatible with Switch

8Bitdo has two new controllers in the pipeline: the SN30 and SF30. Both are based on the SNES and Super Famicom controllers.
The two controllers work with Switch, macOS, and Android. They feature rumble vibration, motion controls, bluetooth, USB-C connectivity, and d-input and x-input functionality.
The SN30 controller is up on Amazon here. You can also pre-order the SF30 here. They should be out on December 10.

Switch / Wii U / 3DS maintenance taking place next week

Nintendo has a new round of maintenance scheduled for next week, affecting all platforms. Switch, Wii U, and 3DS will be impacted.
The latest maintenance schedule is as follows:
– 9 PM PT (September 19) – 2 AM PT (September 20)
– 12 AM ET (September 20) – 5 AM ET (September 20)
– 5 AM in the UK (September 20) – 10 AM in the UK (September 20)
– 6 AM in Europe (September 20) – 11 AM in Europe (September 20)
Online play of Switch / Wii U / 3DS games may be impacted while maintenance is taking place.

Splatoon 2: Heavy Splatling Deco being added to the game today / tomorrow

Another new weapon is coming to Splatoon 2 pretty soon. The Heavy Splatling Deco has the same stats as the regular Heavy Splatling and comes with the Bubble Blower special and the Splash Wall sub-weapon. It will be available in-game tomorrow around noon in Japan and Australia, early in the morning in Europe and late at night today in North America.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was first shown during the Nintendo Switch Presentation in January. Monolith Soft has continued working on the game since then, and development is now wrapping up with the December 1 release in sight.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 isn’t the only game to have changed over the past few months. The same goes for Super Mario Odyssey, which Nintendo has improved further from a visual standpoint.
Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap physical version up for pre-order on Play-Asia

It was recently confirmed that Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap physical will have a physical version in Asia and the Middle East. Play-Asia has followed up with pre-orders here. Copies should ship around November 23.
Remember, since Switch is region-free, you shouldn’t have any issues playing the game. English is also included, along with Chinese, Japanese, and Korean.

Many Best Buy stores across the United States will be hosting a midnight launch for Super Mario Odyssey next month. The retailer is currently letting consumers search for a local store nearby here. Of course, you may also want to check with your Best Buy before launch to ensure that the midnight launch will indeed be happening.
