Rain can be an inconvenience for Link while climbing in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But for one of the game’s enemies, it’s actually deadly.

You’ll notice that a Fire Keese’s flames will go out when rain starts to pour. A few seconds later, it’ll perish right on the spot.

Here’s a quick look:

In the official Zelda: Breath of the Wild guide, two of the game’s most important developers left messages for readers. Series producer Eiji Aonuma and director Hidemaro Fujibayashi both reflected on creating the massive title.

Aonuma’s message was particularly interesting. In it, he spoke about the developing process of “creating while playing”. Aonuma also touched on not being completely satisfied with development due to “a desire to keep evolving and growing.”

As for Fujibayashi, he touched on the difficulties of trying to rethink Zelda’s conventions. He also said that the team has “on occasion observed things happen in the field that not even we, who created the game, could have imagined.”

We thought it might be interesting to share both of these messages from Aonuma and Fujibayashi. Read the full transcriptions below.

Don’t have a television nearby? Want to play Mario Kart 8 Deluxe with three other players? Fortunately, that’s entirely possible.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe does in fact allow for four-player split-screen while playing undocked. You may not have as much real estate to work with, but the feature is there if you want to use it.

Best Buy will be restocking two popular items next week. First up is the NES Classic Edition, which will be sold on Monday. Switch follows on Friday – just in time for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. The restocks should be in stores at the very least, but perhaps online as well.

This might be one of your last chances to purchase your own NES Classic Edition. Nintendo is discontinuing the hardware, and final shipments are being sent out this month.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s credits for beating all twelve cups are pretty similar to what was included on Wii U. However, there are some extra scenes, and some name additions – such as Tatsumi Kimishima at the end. Watch the full credits below.

There aren’t too many Switch games at the moment that use the device’s touchscreen. But with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the touchscreen functionality has been retained from the original Wii U release.

It’s nothing too crazy, but you can fully navigate Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s with a tap of the finger. You can select different modes, characters, vehicle parts, options and more. We took a brief video showing the touchscreen usage in action below.

YouTuber nesis has come up with a bizarre, yet interesting way of messing around with a Guardian in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Believe it or not, it’s possible to ride a Guardian through the sky.

The steps themselves are pretty simple. Actually following through on the process may be a bit tricky, however. You’ll need to get a Guardian on to a raft, and then mess around with it a bit to make it move and fly up into the sky.

This week’s episode of Nintendo Minute has gone live. In today’s video, Kit and Krysta play some Puyo Puyo Tetris on Switch. Watch the full episode below.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe lets you mess around with many different control schemes. In most cases, you can play with a Switch Pro Controller or a single Joy-Con. You can also use a pair of Joy-Con controllers that are either attached, detached or in a grip.

When it comes to the Wireless Play mode, things become a bit more limited. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s split-screen grays out the option for each player to use a full pair of Joy-Con controllers. Because of this, it’s only possible to use a single Joy-Con per player or two Pro Controllers.

The March 2017 NPD report was highlighted by strong sales for both Switch and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both are off to very strong starts in the United States.

Additional data regarding March sales in the U.S. are in from NPD. We’re able to see the best-selling games across Switch, Wii U, and 3DS for the month. Continue on below for the full results.
