Nintendo Switch Online Golden Axe II, Alien Storm, Columns, Virtua Fighter 2

A new batch of SEGA Genesis games have just dropped on Nintendo Switch Online – specifically Golden Axe II, Alien Storm, Columns, and Virtua Fighter 2. If you’re an Expansion Pack member, you can immediately access these titles after installing an update for the app.

Here’s some information about each game:

Night in the Woods Collector's Edition

More than three years after it was initially announced, the physical release for Night in the Woods is finally coming to fruition – and it’ll include a collector’s edition.

We first heard about plans for boxed versions in 2019. However, it was postponed following allegations against Alec Holowka, who was a coder, composer, and co-designer on the game.

River City Girls 2 trailer

River City Girls 2 has now launched worldwide, and we have a trailer to celebrate. WayForward and Arc System Works are showing off the beat ’em up game for a final time.

In case you need a refresher about River City Girls 2, we have the following overview:

Fire Emblem Engage Somniel

Original (12/8): Nintendo just released a new seven-minute trailer for Fire Emblem Engage that introduces Somniel, your base of operations. This is located in the sky above the continent of Elyos and hosts a variety of facilities and activities for players to prepare for upcoming battles and strengthen bonds.

Thus far the video has only been made available in Japanese. We’ll swap it out with an English version if and when it’s published.

Arcade Paradise Kung Fury: Street Rage

Arcade Paradise is getting its very first licensed in-game cabinet in the form of Kung Fury: Street Rage. This will be available for Switch on January 13, 2023.

Kung Fury: Street Rage contains new goals, objectives, and leaderboards. Additional information can be found in the following overview:

Pokemon Scarlet Violet 20000 League Points distribution

Another distribution has begun in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet, with players now having an easy way to obtain 20,000 League Points (LP). A Mystery Gift code was provided by the Pokemon AfterSchool Club YouTube channel.

League Points are significant in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet since they can be spent to obtain certain items and to craft TMs at T.M. Machines. Typically, LP can be obtained as players advance the story or by trading in materials from Pokemon.

Arcana of Paradise: The Tower physical

Arcana of Paradise: The Tower, which was previously known as The Tower: To the Bottom, has been delayed – but we also have news about a physical version.

The real-time roguelike deckbuilding adventure saw a name change “to help increase visibility and properly represent the tarot elements.” As for the delay, “the creators will beef up the launch content with Ranked Leader Boards, which will be available at release.”

Fire Emblem Engage Rosado

Fire Emblem Engage has received its latest character introduction, with Nintendo and Intelligent Systems posting news on the Japanese Twitter account about Rosado. Serenes Forest has shared the translations.

Rosado, who is voiced by Shouta Aoi in the Japanese version, is a royal knight from Elusia. Also Hortensia’s retainer and friend, the character is an optimist who lives their life to the fullest by pursuing all things cute and pretty.

Fire Emblem Engage has Rosado starting off with the Wyvern Knight class. In other words, she’s a knight who takes to the skies while riding a wyvern. Those in the Wyvern Knight class are weak to bows and magic, but make up with it thanks to their strong abilities.
