The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending September 30, 2023 is now available.

EA Sports FC 24 was the biggest release over the past few days, so it comes as no surprise that it debuts at #1. The game saw the UK’s second-biggest physical launch of the year – but Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is still at the top. Also worth noting, Switch was the only platform where sales were up compared to FIFA 23, but that’s likely because EA actually put in an admirable effort on the platform this time around.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder multiplayer player collision

Nintendo has shared a little nugget of information about Super Mario Bros. Wonder‘s development, revealing that the game initially included player collision in local multiplayer, though it was ultimately taken out.

This is a small but notable change from the New Super Mario Bros. series. Previously, collision meant being able to do certain things like jumping off another player’s head while playing with friends. However, it could also make things quite chaotic – something that Nintendo seemed to take notice of. Now you won’t touch or bump into other players.

Xenoblade 2 Torna DLC music Whiplash

According to Xenoblade series director Tetsuya Takahashi, we have the 2015 movie Whiplash to thank for the jazz-inspired soundtrack in Xenoblade Chronicles 2 – Torna: The Golden Country.

Takahashi shared a lengthy message looking back on the franchise as part of the recently-released Xenoblade Chronicles Original Soundtrack Trinity Box. He had some kind words for composer Yasunori Mitsuda, and would later go on to discuss Torna.
