The Smurfs 2 The Prisoner of the Green Stone

Publisher Microids and Smurfs license holder IMPS, along with developer OSome Studio, today announced The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone. Switch will be getting the title in Q4 2023.

The Smurfs 2: The Prisoner of the Green Stone is a sequel to the 2021 game The Smurfs: Mission Vileaf. It’s another action-platformer with an all-new story and more.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom duplication glitch

Duplication glitches have always proven popular with games, and now one has been found for the recently-released The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

The glitch is notable because it’s pretty easy to perform, and it works on just about everything. Players can duplicate endless amounts of inventory items including diamonds, which fetch a high price. Naturally, it applies to weapons as well.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection

Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of April 2023.

A few new games make their first appearance, including Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection which cracks the top ten. Final Fantasy I-VI Bundle also made the list, as did Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp – the latter of which doesn’t include digital sales and could have charted higher.

Zelda Tears of the Kingdom sales 10 million

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom sold over ten million copies worldwide in its first three days, Nintendo has announced. It’s the fastest-selling game in the history of the Legend of Zelda series.

Also revealed today is that over four million copies were sold alone in the Americas. It’s the fastest-selling Switch game and the fastest-selling Nintendo game for any system in that territory. The same goes for Europe as well.

Pocket Bravery physical

PQube and developer Statera Studio confirmed today that a physical edition is on the way for Pocket Bravery on Switch. Note that only a standard version is planned, so there won’t be any special editions.

Ganondorf design Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Hidemaro Fujibayashi, the director of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, has commented on Ganondorf’s new design in the game.

Speaking with The Verge, Fujibayashi said that Satoru Takizawa – who’s been working on the series since Twilight Princess – led the way on Ganondorf. Fujibayashi requested for him to be “a very cool, very awesome demon king.”

Nightmare Reaper release date

Feardemic and Blazing Bit Games have shared a release date for the Switch version of Nightmare Reaper. The title’s launch is planned for May 18, 2023.

Nightmare Reaper, a retro-inspired first-person shooter, was previously announced last year. It was last on track for an early 2023 debut.

Bandai Namco previously issued a statement about the state of Tales of Symphonia on Switch, apologising for the issues and promising that a patch to address them was in the works for the future. Today they have announced that the patch will be coming on May 18, and have provided some patch notes, which can be viewed below:
