Call of Duty native Switch

Microsoft has commented further on its plans for Call of Duty for Switch, and has stated its confidence in getting the franchise running natively on the console.

In case you’ve somehow been missing out on the news, Microsoft has been hoping to complete its deal to acquire Activision Blizzard which was announced months ago. However, things haven’t been going smoothly due to concerns about what the merger would mean. Microsoft is continually trying to prove its case, and recently looked to raise some confidence about multiplatform support by finalizing a deal to have Call of Duty games on Nintendo systems for the next ten years – which was just finalized.

Fire Emblem Engage update 1.3.0

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet may still be in rough technical shape for some players, but that didn’t stop Game Freak from announcing a wave of new expansions last week for these controversial (but still widely loved) games. In this week’s episode of Nintendo Everything Refresh, your hosts Nick and Nicolas will chat about the announcements from the recent Pokémon Presents showcase, including a new Poké Ball-style accessory that you are seriously supposed to sleep with, and a freshly announced Pokémon TV series. We’ll also discuss the upcoming Wave 4 of tracks for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, the launch of Metroid Fusion on Switch Online, and much more!

Zelda Ocarina of Time Mario Kart 8 fan track

A new fan-made Mario Kart 8 track is turning heads because of how well it adapts the world of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time into a raceway. It’s based on Nintendo’s 3DS remake of the N64 classic rather than the 1998 original.

RiazorMC shared the creation on YouTube, which features different Hyrule sections for each of its laps. In the first section, you start off in Kokiri Forest before moving to Hyrule Field and Gerudo’s Fortress. The second lap is the journey to Lake Hylia. Finally, in the third lap, there’s a quick stop in Kakariko Village and then ultimately Death Mountain. Fans seem to agree that the course could be better at directing you where to go, but otherwise is impressive.

Tunic physical

Tunic previously made it to the Switch eShop, but a physical version is now happening as well with a new Deluxe Edition. Fangamer will be in charge of production.

You’re not just getting the game here, but a number of extra goodies as well. Copies include the full-length staple-bound manual with the full contents of the in-game manual (has spoilers), a mini-manual with basic instructions (no spoilers), a foldout map of some areas and dungeons, sticker sheets with iconography from the game, and a digital download code for a copy of the complete soundtrack by Lifeformed and Janice Kwan.
