The latest UK software sales chart for the week ending May 3, 2025 is now available.
Hogwarts Legacy keeps its streak going as the overall top title across all platforms. Also along the same lines, for Nintendo Switch exclusives, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is the highest. It’s actually moved up slightly from #14 to #11.

Suika Game adds new Item Mode for multiplayer

This week, Suika Game received a new Item Mode which is accessible in multiplayer. You’ll need to have purchased the Multi-Player Mode Expansion Pack in order to access it, but no further purchases beyond that are necessary. It comes as part of a new version 2.2.6 update.
The Suika Game Item Mode involves earning items as you sink fruit. Items can be used to interfere with your opponent or give yourself an advantage. At the end of the match, the person with the most amount of points wins.

Freedom Wars Remastered 1.8.0 update out now, patch notes – weapon adjustments, dash function, more

Bandai Namco came out with the latest update for Freedom Wars Remastered this week in the form of version 1.8.0.
There’s quite a bit here. Various weapons have been adjusted, the team added in a dash function, and much more. That’s along with the various bug fixes – plenty of issues have been fixed.

The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy is a dungeon RPG. It ties in with the well-known manga and anime.

Heads up for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet players: another Tera Raid Battle event is happening, this time with Metagross.
Those looking to take on Metagross, who will have the Steel Tera Type, can find the creature in 7 Star Raids. Once again, it will carry the Mightiest Mark and can be caught just once per save file.

A couple months back, we wrote a big list of games that would benefit from performance patches on Nintendo Switch 2. That was before we knew exactly how Switch 2 Editions worked, though – and it was also before we knew Switch 2 Editions existed at all. Right now, six first and second-party Nintendo games have Switch 2 Editions: Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon Legends Z-A, Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Zelda Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, and Super Mario Party Jamboree. These upgrades are all paid, and then several more games are getting free performance patches on Switch 2. Today, we’re going over existing Switch games that aren’t on either of these lists that could really use the performance or resolution boost.

We’ve got a bit of news for those looking to secure a physical copy of Tamagotchi Plaza. Over in Japan, Bandai Namco will be putting the game out at retail.
Tamagotchi Plaza will be available in boxed form on both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2. For the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, everything is included on the cartridge – it’s not a game-key card release. Also, both Nintendo Switch 1 and 2 will support English alongside Japanese.

SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered physical release revealed for Nintendo Switch, pre-orders open
