Emio - The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club demo

Original: Nintendo today announced a demo for Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club, which will actually be split into three parts. The news is technically only shared for Japan thus far, but the same will likely apply to the west (plus Switch is region free and English is supported in all versions of the game).

The first part of the demo, which consists of the prologue and first chapter, will release on August 19 / August 20 (actual time varies depending on your region). Nintendo will then follow up with the second chapter on August 22 / August 23. Lastly, the third chapter closes things out on August 27 / August 28.

Indie World Showcase Nintendo Direct Partner Showcase

Nintendo will host not one, but two new presentations tomorrow with an Indie World Showcase and Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase. The fun begins at 7 AM PT / 10 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe.

The Indie World Showcase will go live first. Right after that event, the Nintendo Direct: Partners Showcase will begin. Between the two, everything will take place across 40 minutes (give or take).

Both events will cover upcoming games for Switch. Unsurprisingly, Nintendo will not be talking about the system’s successor here.

Here’s where you can watch tomorrow’s proceedings:

Various listings for the game have been spotted in Europe. As shared by ResetEra user –R, Virtex and World of Games list the title, simply called MySims. Neither retailer provides any details, but one of the listings contain the boxart. It also seems that the game could be releasing on November 19, 2024, though that’s yet to be confirmed.
