Let’s Talk #34: Impressions of Xenoblade Chronicles X

Xenoblade Chronicles X has been out in the west for almost a month now. For those that have been playing it, what do you think of the game thus far? Are you enjoying it? Has it not met your expectations? If you’ve played the original Xenoblade, how do you think this one stacks up? Let us know in the comments below.

I’ve actually had Xenoblade Chronicles X since launch, but haven’t had a chance to really play it yet. Sickness, business, and a terrible backlog make for a bad combination. I hope to change that soon though!

Highlights from last week’s topic: What do you want to see from next week’s Smash Bros. presentation?

The Wii U version of Pokken Tournament will have local multiplayer, according to a notice on the HORI controller website. One player uses the GamePad as their controller perspective on the GamePad, and it seems the other uses the TV screen as their perspective. Two of the HORI controllers can’t be used in local multiplayer.

Media Create mentioned last week that Wii U bundles have been helping move hardware units in Japan. The Splatoon and Super Mario Maker sets gave the system a big push in particular during the week of December 7, and that has continued since then.

Regarding the Splatoon bundle, this has for all intents and purposes sold out. Nintendo said on Twitter that it has reached the estimate quantity, so production/shipping has been ended. Consumers who are interested in the Wii U are advised to check out sets such as the ones featuring Super Mario Maker and Genei Ibun Roku #FE.
