Rumor: SEGA releasing new Sonic game on Wii U in 2015

Jazwares, a toy maker which produces Sonic the Hedgehog products, appeared at the Nuremberg International Toy Fair last week. The company brought along the sign that seemingly reveals the existence of a new, untitled Sonic game. Assuming the image above is believable, we’ll be seeing the Blue Blur in a new title on the Wii U, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2015.
Ubisoft not commenting on the status of Watch Dogs on Wii U

Just when we thought rumors of Watch Dogs’ Wii U cancellation were behind us, there’s renewed concern that the game won’t ultimately end up on Nintendo’s console. Emily Rogers got in contact with Ubisoft about the game’s release on Wii U yesterday, but the publisher wouldn’t make any sort of comment.
If Watch Dogs truly is still making its way to the system, you have to wonder why Ubisoft wouldn’t be in a position to reconfirm its development. There’s absolutely no reason to keep it secret at this point.
I’m hoping this won’t turn into another Pac-Man Museum situation. I contacted Namco Bandai earlier this month to find out about the status of the Wii U/3DS versions, but the company essentially wouldn’t comment. We then found out this week that both versions had been canned.
In any case, don’t fret too much about Watch Dogs’ Wii U situation just yet. There’s a reason to be concerned, but Ubisoft hasn’t said that the title has been cancelled. And as Emily Rogers points out, it was scheduled to hit the console last year.

During the Q&A portion of Nintendo’s investor briefing held earlier in the week, Shigeru Miyamoto reconfirmed that Super Smash Bros. for Wii U will launch this year. Miyamoto didn’t mention the 3DS version in his response, in case you’re wondering. I don’t think it’s worth making much of yet, but it’d be interesting if the two versions had separate launches.

Also working on a new patch. No ETA yet, but I'll update once we know.

Sony confirms acquisition of Japanese factory producing Wii U’s eDRAM
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in General Nintendo, News, Wii U | 0 comments
Sony has officially announced its acquisition of a Japanese factory operated by Renesas Electronics, the plant which produces Wii U’s embedded DRAM. Going forward, the factory will be known as the Yamagata Technology Center under Sony Semiconductor Corp.
Renesas will need to transfer its Tsuruoka assets to Sony by March 31. Sony Semiconductor Corp. will still produce some semiconductors (which may include Wii U’s eDRAM chip) “for a certain period of time,” but will eventually move manufacturing to its Naka plant or completely cease production.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U screenshot (01/31/14) – Lucario joins the battle

Along with the above screenshot, Sakurai passed along the following messages via Miiverse:
Pic of the day. The heroic Aura Pokémon, Lucario, joins the battle!! We’ve increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with.
Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster–without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle.
