The Donkey Kong Country series is well known for the high quality of its music. With the atmospheric score of David Wise, the quirky tunes of Eveline Fischer and the unforgettable melodies of that other guy, it’s a franchise full of famous songs. Nintendo UK shared a rather random – and very brief – video involving Shigeru Miyamoto today. Fans are being asked to guess the amiibo Miyamoto tries to impersonate in the video below. So… who’s that amiibo?

Tomorrow is March 10… which Nintendo is officially calling “Mario Day”. You’ll get “Mario” after combining “Mar” and then “10” (or “IO”). Clever, right?

A fan animation has been posted online – see below – showing a neat take on Super Mario Kart. “Hat-Loving Gamer” demonstrates what the SNES classic would be like with 101 players. There are some pretty crazy character choices, along with items and mechanics that aren’t in the actual game.
