Nintendo wanted Danny DeVito to star in the Super Mario Bros. film

Bob Hoskins played Mario in the notorious Super Mario Bros. film from 1993. However, it sounds like Nintendo was originally seeking Danny DeVito for the role.

Video: Mario Kart 8 with Raspberry Pie makes for neat ambient light effects

This seems like a neat little thing. One gamer made use of Raspberry Pie tech so that ambient lights illuminating from behind the TV correspond to the colors from the game. You can find a couple of tutorial videos on putting the whole thing together here and here.
