The latest Japanese hardware sales from Media Create are as follows:

Switch – 49,165

Switch sales currently over 700,000 units in the UK, Wii U total surpassed

GamesIndustry has a new report on Switch sales in the UK. According to the site, 700,000 units have been sold since last year’s launch. GamesIndustry further adds that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have sold more than one million copies between them. As far as Wii U goes, Switch has already outsold the system.
While Switch is doing fairly well in the UK, it hasn’t taken off as much as it has in other countries. Unlike other regions, the console hasn’t broken again records there. Piers Harding-Rolls, director of research and analysis at IHS Markit, provides the following as to why that is:

Update: This update should be available now. Still no patch notes, but the Japanese update page only makes mention of correcting the glitch.
Original: Nintendo has confirmed another new patch for Splatoon 2. Version 2.2.2 is scheduled for release later tonight.
As far as what it entails, we know that Nintendo will be looking to address a specific glitch in Arowana Mall. We’ll bring you the full patch notes when we have them.

Bandai Namco LinkedIn profile lists unannounced first-person shooter/adventure, Ridge Racer 8 as Switch exclusives

Some major discoveries appear to have been made on the LinkedIn profile of a Bandai Namco staffer. Two significant Switch projects are listed on the CV, and both are apparently exclusives.
The first game is an unannounced first-person shooter/adventure. The second we have more information on, and is clearly called labeled as Ridge Racer 8.

Kirby Star Allies – Dream Land Meadow trailer

Kirby Star Allies is looking quite pretty, and Nintendo seems pretty eager to show it off. Below is a short trailer showcasing the ambiance of what is probably the first area of the game. Those platforms give off a Smashing vibe.

Hulu Live TV now testing 60 FPS on Switch

One feature of Hulu is Live TV. Users can watch a number of channels on their device of choice as they happen, without having to be in front of a television.
Live TV is now seeing an improvement, and Switch users can try it out. Hulu has started rolling out support for 60 frames per second on select channels. As this is in a testing phase, Hulu will be rolling out the feature in different phases.

Atari outlines RollerCoaster Tycoon Switch features – modes, tech specs, more

Atari has posted an update on its StartEngine campaign page for RollerCoaster Tycoon on Switch. Thanks to that, we have a better idea as to what the company has in store for the game. Atari goes over planned features, tech specs, and more.
Three modes are currently in the works for RollerCoaster Tycoon on Switch. These include a Campaign Mode, Scenario Mode, and Sandbox Mode. You’ll also have access to seven types of customizable roller coasters with Ride Cams, four environments, over 120 rides, and more. As far as tech specs go, Atari is targeting 1080p docked and 720p in portable mode at 30 frames per second.

Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long to be offered as free DLC in BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle

Arc System Works has shared new information about BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle. Two characters are now confirmed as free DLC.
Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long, both from RWBY, will be on the roster. Additionally, they’ll be available at no extra cost.
Arc System Works saw some fan backlash after it was announced that BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle’s roster would be comprised of 20 characters on the base roster, with 20 more as DLC. Blake Belladonna was the first character that had been announced as paid content. Arc System Works has been listening to the feedback, and looks to have changed its mind. While Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long will be free, Arc System Works hasn’t completely clarified the rest of its approach to DLC.
Song of Memories delayed to Spring 2018 in Japan

Song of Memories was just announced for the west last week. Meanwhile, in Japan, the visual novel title has just been delayed from February to sometime this spring. Pure Wish will be using the extra time to address issues with development.
The Japanese delay for Song of Memories will not impact the North American and European release. It’s still expected later in the year overseas.
