Splatoon 3 update out now (version 1.1.1), patch notes

A new Splatoon 3 update just dropped, with Nintendo issuing version 1.1.1.
This is a notable patch as there are changes and fixes to various aspects of the game. Splatfests, player controls, multiplayer, Salmon Run, and single-player have all been touched up in one way or another.
One aspect worth pointing to specifically is that Nintendo adjusted the rate of Tricolor Battle occurrence and from the defending team’s perspective, they will trigger somewhat less frequently than before. However, Nintendo says the change is “temporary”.

Yum Yum Cookstar heading to Switch in October

Original (9/12): Planet Entertainment has announced Yum Yum Cookstar, a new cooking game for Switch. A release is scheduled for October 4, 2022.
Yum Yum Cookstar is a new title from the creators of Cooking Mama: Cookstar, though the two have no direct association. Read the official description below for more details.

Japan Game Awards 2022 winners announced

At the 2022 Tokyo Game Show today, the primary winners were decided for the Japan Game Awards.
Pokemon was arguably the biggest winner of the show – at least when it comes to Nintendo games. Brilliant Diamond an Shining Pearl took home the prize in a Global Award category as well as for Best Sales. In the Award for Excellence, Pokemon Legends: Arceus was selected along with Kirby and the Forgotten Land.

A number of games were shown off during today’s September 2022 Nintendo Direct, and retailers are starting to hold pre-orders. Along with titles that we’ve heard about previously, the presentation also had some new announcements.

Let’s Build a Zoo gets a release date, new trailer

Let’s Build a Zoo, the zoo management sim from Springloaded and No More Robots, received a final release date today. The title will be ready to go digitally for Switch on September 29, 2022 with the physical version arriving one day later.

Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection to support online functions

Capcom provided an update on Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection at the Tokyo Game Show today, and the big news shared is that online functions are planned. In addition to online battles, it will be possible to trade Chips with others.
Another element was also introduced. In the collection, a 3D MegaMan.EXE will guide you through the game selection screen and gallery, complete with voiced reactions.
NieR: Automata world overview trailer shows Amusement Park

NieR: Automata has received its second world trailer for the Switch version that introduces the Amusement Park. Although the area once brought happiness and joy to mankind, it’s now occupied by harmless machine lifeforms. Square Enix mentions how they’re found dancing and throwing confetti in their carnival attire.
