Devil’s Third will land in Europe on August 28th

It would appear as if Nintendo is not waiting for E3 to announce release dates from some heavily anticipated titles. Nintendo of Europe has just announced the Wii U exclusive title, Devil’s Third will hit Europe on August 28th. No word yet as to a North American launch date, so stay tuned.

Devil’s Third heading to Japan on August 4, new video

Many expected Devil’s Third to resurface at this year’s E3, but Nintendo appears to have had other plans. The game has reappeared through a brand new video on the company’s Japanese YouTube channel, which features brand new footage and talk from creator Tomonobu Itagaki.
Devil’s Third also has a Japanese release date. The title is coming to Wii U on August 4.

Another Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem dev message, this time from Eiji Ishida

Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem has not one, but two directors. There’s chief director Mitsuru Hirata, who we heard from earlier today. Atlus’ Eiji Ishida of Radiant Historia fame is also a director, and he too shared a message on the official Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem website.
Here’s the translation from Siliconera:
It’s a pleasure to meet you all!
I am Atlus’ Eiji Ishida, the development director and the chief designer for battles. I previously worked as the chief designer for Shin Megami Tensei IV and the development director of Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey.
Hirata, who was the supporting director of Strange Journey, and also provided countless “questionable” maps (in the best way possible, Hirata-san!) in the level design for the game, is who I’m teaming up with as the director of Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem.

LEGO Marvel’s Avengers pushed back to winter

When LEGO Marvel’s Avengers was announced earlier in the year, Warner Bros. Interactive stated that the title would be available this fall. Those plans have since changed. Along with the new trailer sent out today, Warner Bros. announced that LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will ship sometime this winter.
Activision confirms no Call of Duty: Black Ops III for Wii U

Activision has officially said that Call of Duty: Black Ops III won’t be on Wii U. Although the game is now confirmed to be for both last-gen and current-gen hardware, Nintendo’s console won’t be included as one of the platforms receiving the new shooter.
A notice on Activision’s blog states: “it should be noted that there’s no version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 for Nintendo Wii U planned.”
Even though there was some small talk about the possibility of Call of Duty: Black Ops III coming to Wii U, I suppose we shouldn’t be shocked by this. Advanced Warfare didn’t land on the console, so I suppose Activision is setting a new precedent.
