Don’t count on a Wii U version of Skullgirls happening anytime soon.

According to the game’s official Twitter account, a release on the console “isn’t looking likely”. Skullgirls could, however, be considered for Wii U assuming “sales pick up” and Nintendo is able to “establish a digital presence”.

EA came out with a fighter for the likes of the SNES and SEGA Genesis based on the NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal way back in 1994. Nearly two decades later, could a follow-up of sorts be in the works?

Siliconera has come across a series of new trademarks known as “Shaqfighter” filed by the same company that runs “Shaq.com”. The items are related to video games, online games, computer game software, and action skill games.

It isn’t immediately clear what these trademarks could/will be used for, but it would be pretty amazing to see another Shaq fighter after all this time.

A good amount of Wii U games tend to hit the eShop the same day as retail. Sniper Elite V2, however, will not be following this approach.

The official Sniper Elite Twitter account confirms that V2 will only be available as a disc release at launch:

It’s unclear if Sniper Elite V2 will arrive on the Wii U eShop at some point in the future.

Thanks to Tim for the tip.

The remake of Donkey Kong Country Returns is just a few weeks away from being on store shelves, but what does the game showcase that wasn’t already in the Wii version?

Author: Spencer

Earlier this year, Nintendo announced that they were hard at work on re-releasing their hit Wii game Donkey Kong Country Returns for the 3DS, not surprisingly titled Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D. The game is essentially a carbon copy port of the Wii version aside from a few new additions explained after the break, but all the core levels and gameplay mechanics have been retained.

So, what can players expect from this handheld version? Hit the jump to find out.

The announcement of “A Link to the Past 2” brings with it many questions, but through the cloud of speculation we can see that some details about the game are more important than others.

Author: Jack

The grand finale in this past, highly acclaimed Nintendo Direct was quite the doozy– not only will there be a brand-spankin’-new Zelda game for 3DS out in only six to eight months, it will also be a successor to the beloved A Link to the Past. But what exactly do we know about it? Is it a direct sequel? Is it the same game remade? Is it brand new? We’ve got 5 of the biggest things you can expect out of this title, right here on NintendoEverything!

Hit the break for the full list!
