Summer Game Fest 2024 live stream

Summer Game Fest 2024 is beginning later today, and we have the official live stream here for you. The fun kicks off at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET / 10 PM in the UK / 11 PM in Europe. Days of the Devs will begin immediately after.

This is obviously a multiplatform show, but we should be getting at least some Switch news here. It’s thought that SEGA could be showing a new trailer for Sonic x Shadow Generations today – the game’s release date already leaked apparently. There could be other updates as well. If there’s anything notable, we’ll be sure to pass it along on the main site as the show goes on.

Here’s where you can watch the Summer Game Fest 2024 live stream:

Munchlax Build A Bear

It’s that time once again – Build-A-Bear is expanding its Pokemon line with another plushie, this time for Munchlax.

Munchlax can be found in stores and online. For those going the online route, there’s an exclusive bundle. Each order includes the main plushie with 5-in-1-sound, Heavy Ball hoodie, and Bib and Tamato Berry Wristie.

My Nintendo Classic Games Postcard Set

A new reward just went up on My Nintendo, and it’s one that retro gamers might be interested in. Members can now spend their points on a Classic Games Postcard Set.

The set comes with eight different postcards with boxart from classic titles. Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo 64 are represented here.

No More Heroes Travis Touchdown future

No More Heroes creator Suda51 was recently asked if Travis Touchdown, the series’ star, could return in the future. As of now it doesn’t sound like an easy question for him to answer.

Eurogamer asked the well-known developer about the future of the character. Suda51 responded by saying that he’s unsure, especially given how Marvelous owns the rights to the No More Heroes franchise. Grasshopper Manufacture developed the different games in the series, but that was thanks to Marvelous being on board.

Nintendo leaks Google

According to a report from 404 Media, Nintendo was by previously impacted by leaked information obtained by a Google employee who accessed private YouTube videos. Google held an internal review and deemed that the activity was “non-intentional”.

404 Media says its article is based on “a copy of an internal Google database which tracks six years worth of potential privacy and security issues”. The thousands of incidents were actually reported by the company’s employees. The database covers a ton of other incidents as well, ranging from accidentally collecting children’s voice data to Google Street View transcribing and storing license plate numbers from photos.

Following previous rumors, LEGO and Nintendo just revealed a LEGO Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 Set. It will be available on September 1, 2024 for $300.

This marks the very first Zelda product from LEGO. Fans can not only build the Great Deku Tree as it appeared in Zelda: Ocarina of Time, but Breath of the Wild as well. The 2,500-piece set also “comprises iconic sceneries from the video games including the Master Sword pedestal from Breath of the Wild, as well as Link’s House from Ocarina of Time, allowing enthusiasts freedom to customize their display.”

Nintendo Fran Francisco

Nintendo will open a new store in San Francisco, the company just announced.

This is notable news as the company only had one official store previously in the United States. That of course is Nintendo New York. The location first opened in 2005 and was first called the Nintendo World store. In 2016, it was rebranded to Nintendo New York.
