Sony San Diego just announced that a technical test will be held for all versions of MLB The Show 22. The test will feature cross-play and cross-saves as well as online co-op, specifically 2 vs 2 and 3 vs 3 games. It will be an open test as well, so no sign-up is required.

Freedom Games has announced an official release date for Dark Deity, a Strategy RPG developed by Sword & Axe. The game will release on Switch March 17, 2022. 

Dark Deity was officially confirmed for Switch last August. At the time, it was simply slated for a 2022 release.

Daedalic Entertainment has set a release date for Zombie Rollerz: Pinball Heroes. The pinball-based tower defense and rogue-like mashup developed by Zing Games will release for Switch on March 2, 2022.

At the end of 1992, Masaya Games released the racing title Moto Roader MC for the TurboGrafx-16 – specifically the CD-ROM² add-on. Now after three decades, it’s making a comeback on Switch. Ratalaika Games and Shinyuden are behind the re-release.

Atlus has announced that fans can pre-order 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim on Switch starting today, and also revealed a special bonus. Those that reserve the physical game will be given a pack of art cards. Amazon, Best Buy, and GameStop will have this at retail while supplies last.

NIS America has released a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming title Crystar, a JRPG developed by FuRyu and Gemdrops. The game is releasing on Switch March 29 in America and April 1 in Europe.

Nintendo has answered the question as to who exactly will be able to play the new tracks in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass when the DLC releases next month.

According to the official site, the courses can be accessed starting on March 18 locally or online in Friends and Rivals races, “even if only one player owns the Booster Course Pass or has access to it as part of a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.” Then starting on March 22, these tracks will show up in the Random selection when playing Global or Regional races with anyone online.

Fortnite has been updated to version 19.30, and it’s brought along more robust gyro controls for Switch. These controls are available with the Joy-Con controllers (including in handheld mode) or the Pro Controller.

The updated gyro controls include more customization, no forced aim acceleration, the ability to make gyro inactive in certain situations, and less frequent recalibration. Also, “there is now less need to set different sensitivities depending on whether you’re sniping or targeting, since the main sensitivity slider is now scaled by zoom level.” Players still have the option to disable zoom scaling in the Advanced Gyro Options, along with setting specific sensitivities for sniping, targeting (which is now “aiming”), harvesting, building, and editing.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series will be receiving a physical release in Europe, Bandai Namco has confirmed. However, it’s currently unclear if there are similar plans for North America.

Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series was announced for Switch during the latest Nintendo Direct last week. It’s been well over a decade since Bandai Namco has touched the series. The last addition was in 2008 with Bandai Namco releasing a remake of the 1997 PlayStation game Klonoa: Door to Phantomile on Wii.
