The twin-stick shooter Satryn DX will be appearing on Switch, Flynn’s Arcade announced today. It’ll be ready to go on July 18, 2024.
Satryn DX is a twin-stick shooter with “infinite levels of chaotic, physics-based baddie blasting.” More information can be found in the following overview:
Nintendo has announced a new boxed release for Splatoon 3 in Japan, specifically titled Splatoon 3 + Expansion Pass. It will be available on July 18, 2024.
The main game and all DLC content will be included. Additionally, a three-month subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is packed in, which is needed for online play.
Atlus just provided a sales update on the combined sales of Shin Megami Tensei V and Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance. Between the two versions, the RPG has sold over 1.6 million copies worldwide.
Shin Megami Tensei V originally released only for Switch in November 2021. By April of 2022, Atlus announced that total sales had surpassed 1.6 million copies.
Perfect Dark was one of the surprise additions to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack service as part of yesterday’s Nintendo Direct, but unfortunately, fans were quick to discover that it’s plagued with a number of issues. In the Canon of Vengeance in Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance the Nahobino and his allies will face off against the Qadištu, a new group of demons with their own mysterious agenda. Before reaching the Diet building after traversing the Netherworld, you’ll come face-to-face with the first member of this group. Aogami will warn you of a tough fight ahead, but it can be more difficult than expected. We’ll go over what you can expect, and suggest some strategies to make your life a little easier. This week, Ukiyo Games announced Transhumance as its first project. It will be available on Switch when development wraps up further down the line.
Transhumance is a walking sim at its core, but it’s also described as a “narrative” and “poetic” experience. You’ll ultimately lead a flock of ewes during the periodic migrations between winter pastures on the plains and summer pastures in the mountains.

May 30: Already released on mobile, Cat Rescue Story is now making the jump to Switch. Nacon announced that it’s publishing the game on Nintendo’s console, where it will come out on September 26, 2024.
Cat Rescue Story gives players the opportunity to renovate a pet shelter. They’ll take in and care for cates, ultimately finding loving homes for them.

If you’ve been wondering who the developer is behind Donkey Kong Country Returns HD, we now have that answer. It turns out Forever Entertainment is working on the port. That news comes from an official notice posted following the announcement.
This is the first time Nintendo and Forever Entertainment are working so closely together on a re-release. In 2021, Forever announced that it was receiving “significant financial backing” from the company. Read more about that here.
