Kingpin: Reloaded, a redone version of the 1999 first-person shooter Kingpin: Life of Crime, isn’t launching this year as originally planned – hardly a surprise given how only a few days remain in 2020.

In a message shared with fans, the team said that “some major changes” took place during development, causing the delay. Rather than recreating things in a modern engine, the original game and engine have been reverse engineered, “essentially re-creating the missing sources from scratch.”

Thankfully, development is progressing smoothly. More news will be shared in January.

Nintendo has updated its upcoming maintenance schedule with a slot for the eShops. Switch, Wii U, and 3DS will all be impacted during the middle of January.

As is tradition for Famitsu, the magazine spoke with a ton of different developers about their ambitions for 2021. One developer who participated was Keisuke Kekuchi, who’s leading the Gust brand at Koei Tecmo and is also the producer of Fatal Frame.

Kekuchi shared the following with Famitsu, as translated by Nintendo Everything:

It was around this time last year that Starlight Children’s Foundation and Nintendo unveiled the Starlight Nintendo Switch Gaming Station. We now have a follow-up as these units are starting to make their way to hospitals and health care facilities across the United States.

Each station has 25 games pre-loaded, including Super Mario Party and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It’s important to note that they have been “manufactured to meet strict infection safety protocols” and can be rolled anywhere in the hospital.

The cinematic puzzle-platformer Inmost has received a new update on Switch. Version 1.0.4 includes performance improvements, fixes, and more.

Stardash, a platformer announced for Switch back in September, now has a release date. An eShop listing confirms that the game will be out on January 7, 2021.

Nintendo and Cygames have announced a new Gala Dragalia event for Dragalia Lost. It’ll take place on December 27 at 10 PM PT / December 28 at 1 AM ET. The five-star dragon Gala Reborn Zephyr will appear during the showcase.
