Rumor: ATL providing the battery for Switch

The Wall Street Journal reports that Amperex, otherwise known as ATL, is providing the battery for Switch. That’s the same company behind the replacement batteries that powered the Samsung Galaxy Note 7.
Switch has a non-removable battery, though Nintendo will replace it for a fee. Battery length is estimated to be 2.5 to 6.5 hours.
Rumor: Best Buy Switch launch information

Switch is about two and a half weeks away. To prepare for launch, retailers are starting to get their plans together. Best Buy is one such store in the U.S. readying for Switch’s release.
Based on information posted to the Switch section of Reddit which was verified by the moderation team, 682 Best Buy locations will have a midnight launch. Tickets will be handed out before the clock strikes 12, though store managers will decide on the specific timeline.
For those who didn’t pre-order, tickets will be printed for systems that were not reserved. Consumers will be given a ticket at least one hour before the store opening for locations not doing the midnight launch. As for quantities, we don’t have any numbers unfortunately, but systems are expected to be available.
As one final note, all accessories are street dated in Best Buy’s system. You won’t be able to purchase any of them until March 3.

Rumor: Switch dev files provide new system details, images, specs

Update: Added in details about Nintendo’s expanded online network and library called Network Extension (NEX).
Original: Earlier today, a new thread popped up in the Switch section of Reddit with very interesting information and images about Nintendo’s new hardware. Someone seemingly managed to get a hold of several files, in-development images, and new shots of Switch (when it was known as NX) revealing additional information about the system, including specs. While some of the content might be outdated, there’s no question that a good deal here is still relevant and applies to Switch’s retail version.
There are three files online at the moment. We have an NX overview, system features guide, and SDev Kit quick start document.

A list is making the rounds of a few hundred Nintendo Network IDs that have supposedly been hacked. In total, roughly 440 users seem to be affected.
You can see if your name is listed in the document here. Obviously, if your Nintendo Network ID is there, you should change your password immediately.
Rumor: Fire Emblem Fates may be getting a Switch version

Update: This may unfortunately just be an error on Nintendo’s website. As one example, the Ultra Street Fighter II page has “Pokemon Moon with Lunala Figure for Nintendo Switch”, which linked to a 3DS pic.
Original: Nintendo is holding a Fire Emblem based Nintendo Direct this week, but one bit of news from it might have dropped early. NeoGAF user Mr. Pointy found evidence that a version of Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation may be making its way to the Switch. Searching through the source code for the Fire Emblem Warriors page from Nintendo’s website reveals a hidden image/link for “Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation for nintendo switch”. There is no listing for either Birthright or Conquest, but that doesn’t rule them out. Hopefully this shows up in this week’s Direct!
Rumor: Nintendo rep says Zelda: Breath of the Wild will have dual audio voices

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild may have dual audio voices. After speaking with a French Nintendo representative, one person was told that all copies will provide the option to use Japanese voice acting instead of the game’s native language. Since this isn’t confirmed by Nintendo officially, take this news with a grain of salt for now.
Rumor: FIFA for Switch based off PS3 / 360 versions

During the Nintendo Switch Presentation, EA announced that it will be bringing FIFA to Switch. Eurogamer’s Tom Phillips now reports that it’ll be based on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions that the publisher still churns out. It’s unclear if that information comes from EA directly, though it wouldn’t be entirely surprising.
Rumor: Best Buy price change report indicates Switch will cost $249.99

Update: Bumped to the top. This has the SKU 5670100 in Best Buy’s price system with the description “Nintendo N2”, and is $249.99. The name is definitely a placeholder. Whether or not the price is as well remains to be seen.
Original: Reddit user radoster95, who is a staffer at Best Buy, claims to have seen a price change report from the retailer today. The document apparently states that Switch will cost $249.99.
Normally this is the sort of thing we’d pass on sharing. However, judging by radoster95’s history, he does actually seem to be a Best Buy employee.
The $249.99 tidbit is the only thing we have from radoster95 at the moment, unfortunately. He did not elaborate on the possibility of bundles (there have been rumors of a higher-priced package) or anything else.
Note that even if what radoster95 has seen is accurate, it’s not a confirmation of Switch’s price by any means. Thankfully, we’re just a couple of days away from an official announcement.
Nikkei article speculates about Switch price

Update: We’ve managed to gain access to Nikkei’s full article, and it appears to be more light speculation rather than a true assertion. It talks about how Wii U and Wii both launched at a price of 25,000 yen for instance, and an analyst from Rakuten is expecting Switch to be around 20,000 yen to be a popular item. This isn’t quite like Nikkei’s other articles that really went out of its way to make it clear that it had original information on hand.
Original: Nikkei has published an article with what could be the Japanese price point for Switch. According to the site, Nintendo will be setting the system at 25,000 yen. Unfortunately, we don’t have access to the full piece as a membership is required, but that price is in fact what Nikkei is claiming.
A direct conversion from yen would put Switch at around $213.65. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean Nintendo would price it at $200. A $250 price point in the United States could end up happening – assuming Nikkei’s information is even accurate.
Nikkei doesn’t have a completely accurate record when it comes to unconfirmed reports. That being said, the outlet has been very solid in the past.

Rumor: Koei Tecmo working on new Nintendo-themed Warriors game for Switch

Koei Tecmo could be collaborating with Nintendo on another Warriors game for Switch, if the latest speculation is to be believed.
On Wii U, the two companies worked together to bring Hyrule Warriors to Wii U. The game was then ported to 3DS last year as Hyrule Warriors Legends.
YouTuber OBE1plays first claimed that Koei Tecmo is developing a new Nintendo-themed Warriors game for Switch. Apparently, the project is not a retread of Zelda, nor is it based on Star Fox. Laura Kate Dale, who has been posting Switch rumors over the past few months (many of which have proven accurate thus far), wrote last month that Koei Tecmo pitched a Star Fox Warriors title at some point, but Nintendo turned it down.
Following OBE1plays’ report, Dale wrote on Twitter that she’s heard similar things about Koei Tecmo’s Switch game. She as well says it isn’t related to Zelda or Star Fox.
