A massive Switch firmware update is now available. Nintendo is now distributing version 10.0.0, which includes some major features.

Among the new functionality includes bookmarks for news items, the ability to transfer software data between the internal memory and SD card, an option to remap the controller buttons and a new section in User Settings for Play Activity Settings. Animal Crossing: New Horizons has also received some new icons. And there’s some stability improvements as well, since that’s tradition at this point.

Everook is bringing its brain-splitting action-puzzler Damaged In Transit to Switch, the studio announced today. It will launch digitally via the eShop on April 23.

Here’s an overview of Damaged In Transit:

Rick May, the original voice of Peppy Hare and Andross, has passed away. May had moved into a nursing home for rehabilitation after recovering from a stroke, but unfortunately caught the coronavirus while there.

Aside from voicing those two Nintendo characters in Star Fox 64, May played the role of The Soldier in Team Fortress II as well as the narrator and voice of Genghis Khan in Age of Empires II. He was more than just a voice actor having appeared in major motion pictures, TV shows and commercial. We’d also be remiss if we failed to mention that May was a teacher at Rekindle School.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to May’s family as well as all other affected by the coronavirus.

If the latest reports are to be believed, there may have been plans at one point to create a companion game for Pokemon Yellow. Source code for the series’ original games have appeared online, and in the header of Pokemon Yellow, there’s a reference to “Pocket Monsters Pink and Yellow”. The code also has other references to a potential Pink version as well.

The thought here is that Pokemon Pink, had it actually released, could have starred Clefairy or Jigglypuff. Of course, that’s just speculation.

The comedy adventure Guard Duty will land on Switch next week, publisher Ratalakia Games and developer Sick Chicken Studios announced today. A release is planned for April 24.
