River City Girls will be added to the Switch eShop in just a few weeks. But for the collectors out there, developer WayForward has teamed up with Limited Run Games to offer a physical version.

Pre-orders open through Limited Run Games’ website on August 30. Reservations will be accepted for four weeks.

River City Girls will initially launch on the eShop on September 5.

Bethesda has updated the re-releases of Doom and Doom II on Switch. Once the patch is installed, players will be able to skip the Bethesda.net login. It also removes the disconnect notification during gameplay.

Bethesda isn’t done with updates, as it also says it is “working on a more permanent fix to further reduce the visibility of the optional login.” We’ll let you know when that’s available.

Following today’s Amazon listing, Humble Bundle and Gears for Breakfast have officially confirmed that A Hat in Time is coming to Switch on October 18.

Those who buy the 3D platformer will get the Seal the Deal downloadable content, but it will need to be downloaded separately from the eShop. Local split-screen co-op will also be included, marking the first time this is available on consoles.

Last year, ELEAGUE and Nintendo partnered to showcase the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Invitational 2018 in a three-part series. The two sides are working together once again for another television highlight based on one of the latest tournaments held back in June.

ELEAGUE Presents The Nintendo 2019 World Championships will debut on August 25 at 1 PM ET on CBS. The three-episode event “will take fans backstage and behind the controller with professional players as they compete across three Nintendo Switch video games; Super Mario Maker 2, Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.”

The remaining two episodes will be shown on September 7 at 2 PM and September 14 at 1:30 PM.

3D Realms has issued a new trailer for Ion Fury, which will be coming to Switch in the future. We’ve included the video below.

During a live stream today, Hamster confirmed two more games for the Arcade Archives series. Vigilante and Track & Field are both planned for Switch.

Water Ski and Pinball, which were accidentally revealed during a Famitsu live stream last week, were also officially announced. That’s on top of Karate Champ, Tecmo Bowl, and Yie Ar Kung-Fu which are also planned.

The intense, arcade-style arena shooter Demon Pit is heading to Switch, publisher Digerati and developers Psychic Software and DoomCube announced today. It’s expected to release later this year.

Demon Pit, which takes inspiration from classic first-person shooters of the ’90s, has players taking on endless waves of the demon horde in a constantly changing arena. Players will be tasked with securing a high score on the leaderboard.
