Bandai Namco has posted a gameplay trailer for Goku (GT) in Dragon Ball FighterZ, showing the character in action for the first time. Watch it below.

Goku (GT) will be added to Dragon Ball FighterZ on May 9.

Following up on last week’s update, Nintendo has issued the latest firmware for Switch. Version 8.0.1 is out now for all users.

Unsurprisingly, today’s update isn’t as notable as the last one. Nintendo says there are “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience.”

Rumors regarding plans for new Switch models continue to swirl. This time around, Bloomberg chimes in with what it has heard.

According to Bloomberg, a “new, cheaper version of the Switch” is in the works “according to two people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to discuss private plans.” The publication claims that it “will likely be launched by the end of June, according to one of the people.”

Bloomberg further adds that the current Switch “will receive a modest upgrade this year, though a more powerful version is not in the works, the people said.”

How did Switch perform in the United States last month? Apparently very well.

We’re hearing that Switch was the best-selling hardware platform of March. Not only that, but the same also applies to Q1 2019 as a whole. That goes for both unit and dollar sales.

Yoshi’s Crafted World managed to crack the top ten software sales chart for the month as well, coming in at #9. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate led the way for Nintendo at #5. You can see the full results here.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s series was announced for Switch last November. Clickteam, the studio handling ports for Nintendo’s console, has now posted a look at the first game running on the system.

Xenoblade developer Monolith Soft continues to expand. According to its official website, an additional studio has opened in Osaki, Tokyo.

Monolith Soft was previously known to have four confirmed studios. The company is primarily run out of Meguro, Tokyo, but also has locations in Kyoto and Nakameguro and Iidabashi, the latter two of which are also in Tokyo.

Just a few days ago, a Kickstarter opened for Kingdom of Night. The isometric, story-driven, action-RPG was looking for $10,000 to become a reality. That goal has already been met and there’s still close to a month remaining in the campaign. Successful funding means we’ll be seeing it on Switch.

Black Seven Studios is developing Kingdom of Knight. Dangen Entertainment is handling publishing, including localization.

Mojang has announced that the Village & Pillage update will be going live on Switch tonight. Highlights include Pillagers as a new mob, the Wandering Trader merchant, and new village trades.
