Two new Nintendo concerts will air online next month, the company announced today. Fans will be able to watch performances for The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon 3 Deep Cut on February 9 and February 10 respectively.
Both were originally planned for Nintendo Live 2024 in Japan. However, the Tokyo event was cancelled last month due to threats. Along with Nintendo Live, the plug was also pulled on the Splatoon Koshien 2023 finals, Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Challenge Finals, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championships 2024. Read more about the situation here.
As for the Zelda Orchestra and Splatoon 3 Deep Cut concerts, they will be posted on Nintendo’s YouTube channel. We don’t have an exact time yet for Splatoon, but both should be showing up here.
Rainbow Island will be arriving as the next Arcade Archives game for Switch, Hamster has confirmed. It’ll be launching on January 25, 2024.
December 31: Magikarp and Gyarados will be added to Pokemon Unite as the next playable characters, it’s been announced.
True to the Pokemon’s moveset, Magikarp will use Splash. We don’t have all of the details yet, but as a gauge fills up, it will evolve into Gyarados. More information should follow closer to release.
Another new Splatoon 3 update is set for imminent release with version 6.1.0.
Nintendo is largely focusing on multiplayer tweaks. Main weapons and special weapons have received various adjustments, though there are plenty of bug fixes as well. Players can expect the next update at the end of the current season which focuses on weapon balance adjustments and added features for the new season.
