Circana has released a listing of the top ten best-selling games in the U.S. for the month of August 2023.
After coming in at #6 in July, Pikmin 4 falls to #11. Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom reclaims the top spot for Switch and actually moves up a spot to #6. And speaking of games increasing their positions, Minecraft goes from #14 to #9.

City Connection and Happymeal today announced Final Exerion, an updated version of Jaleco’s 1983 arcade shooter for Switch. It will be available worldwide on September 21, 2023.

Original (6/30): Fans might be curious about Deltarune given how the game has been in development for a few years now, and we thankfully now have an update on Chapter 3 – from Toby Fox himself. The latest progress report was shared in a newsletter that went out this week.
Fox has indicated that work is progressing with the game’s third chapter as the final overworld area is being worked on. A lot has been going on, but Fox said that the fourth chapter will be “much more standard”.

IzanagiGames and MyDearest will release Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate on Switch worldwide with a new Definitive Edition, the companies announced today. The title is slated for November 22, 2023.
Dyschronia: Chronos Alternate is a cinematic exploration adventure game in which players will solve a theoretically impossible murder that spins out of control into a mystery that threatens an entire city. The Switch version will contain all three episodes plus an exclusive scenario.
Original (5/17): Today, publisher Nacon and developer Jumpgate-studio GameXcite announced Asterix & Obelix: Heroes. It will release on Switch in September 2023.
Asterix & Obelix: Heroes is confirmed to be a card game with RPG mechanics. The official note can be found below.

Nintendo have announced a new event coming to Mario Kart Tour in the form a new Anniversary Tour, celebrating 4 years since the game’s initial release. This is also set to be the last piece of new content coming to Mario Kart Tour, as the game will no longer be receiving new content from October 4 onwards.
In the meantime, you can check out a couple of trailers showcasing the new content coming to the Anniversary Tour, as well as the last wave of Mii Racing Suits coming to the game, both of which will drop September 19.
Pikmin Bloom has once again been updated, this time to version 78.0.
This update is implementing a number new features: you will now be assign nicknames to players in your friend list, Pikmin strength will now be visible in the result screen for mushroom battle, and some small changes were made to the visual design of the weekly challenge invite screen and the entry order of mood emojis and photos in the Daily Lookback.
