HAL Laboratory has explained the decision to include new graphical outlines for the characters in Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe.

The Switch title isn’t just a port of the original Wii game, as it contains new content as well as a number changes. One such change concerns the outlines for the playable characters.

Pikmin 4 has finally launched on Switch, and if you’ve picked up the game, we’re interested in hearing your early impressions.

It’s been a long wait for the next major entry in the series as Pikmin 3 first appeared on Wii U in 2013. And despite Shigeru Miyamoto saying a couple of years later that the fourth game was “close to completion”, it wasn’t until yesterday that the game launched on Switch.

Nintendo recently brought Pikmin 1 + 2 to Switch, and thanks to Digital Foundry, we have a closer look at the technical side of things with some of the regular points like frame rate and resolution examined.

Overall, the games appear to be mostly straightforward ports. Resolution gets a bump and there are small improvements here and there, but otherwise, they’re as you remembered them on the GameCube.
