The latest Famitsu review scores for the week of September 20, 2023 are as follows:

Original (9/1): IzanagiGames today announced that it is developing Dark Auction: Hitler’s Estate, with a release planned on Switch. The project is targeting a 2024 launch.

Dark Auction: Hitler’s Estate is a mystery adventure game. Riza Suzuki, the writer behind Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Trace Memories, will be working on the game’s story. Gangsta author Kohske is in charge of character designs.

We finally look at Mortal Kombat 1 on Switch with gameplay, which ties in with the game’s release. The port has come under fire over the past few days, but you can see how it turned out regardless.

Here’s a brief overview of Mortal Kombat 11:

System: Switch
Release date: August 24, 2023
Developer: Colorgrave
Publisher: Colorgrave

It would be fair to say that while Capcom hasn’t entirely abandoned the Mega Man franchise, it has been somewhat lax with support for it within recent times, favoring collective releases of past series rather than making entirely new games. It has fallen to smaller studios to carry the torch and deliver new experiences, and Battery Staple Games has risen to the occasion magnificently with 30XX, a follow-up to their previous take on the formula.

Evil Dead: The Game will no longer be released on Switch as this version of the title has been cancelled. That’s according to the official Twitter (or X) account, which updated fans on the situation today.

Unfortunately, we don’t have much insight into the decision. The message merely states that Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games “will not be releasing a Nintendo Switch version of the game.”

Nintendo has updated the Japanese release schedule on its platforms for the week of September 28, 2023. Here’s a look at the upcoming digital download schedule:

Original: The September 2023 Nintendo Direct may be over, but retailers are now getting in on the action with pre-orders. Like we usually do, we’ve set up this dedicated post to highlight games from the presentation that you can now reserve at retailers, including the brand new ones (as they go live).

iam8bit is working on a physical release of TOEM in partnership with Something We Made, the company announced today. Copies should ship in Q1 2024.

Also planned in a vinyl soundtrack with 32 tracks pressed on two classic black LPs, “giving listeners a perfect opportunity to enjoy its wonderful score from composers Launchable Socks and Jamal Green, and with magical interludes by Viktor Eidhagen.” The jacket “recreates TOEM’s in-game photo album, a charming artifact rendered in a well-loved leather look with gold highlights.”

Original (9/18): GameMill, Ludosity, and Fair Play Labs today confirmed that Grandma Gertie will be a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. She’s known from the animated show Hey Arnold.

Based on a previous leak, Gertie won’t be the only new playable character from Hey Arnold. We don’t get into it here for those looking to avoid spoilers, but you can check out our previous post here.

In this guide for Fae Farm we’ll tell you where to find Frost Thistle. You’ll need this material to craft many different items later during your adventure.

Once you’ve completed “A Way to Clear the Air” and restored life to the Elven Village, it will be time to move on from the Fae Realm to new areas you haven’t been able to explore yet. Back in town, Frida will give you the quest “A Refreshing Favor” after you’ve spoken with her, and will ask you for a Frost Thistle. As you might have guessed, you’ll find this item at the Frozen Plateau, an area you won’t have been able to access before now due to the blizzard freezing your character after a few seconds.
