During the latest episode of The Giant Beastcast, Giant Bomb co-founder Jeff Gerstman spoke about a conversation he had with the Skylanders SuperChargers development team. Gerstman asked one of the game’s staffers about the possibility of amiibo support. While this person said that Activision and Vicarious Visions are focusing on what they’re showing at the event, he also said: “We’ll have a big surprise at E3.”
That’s an interesting response for sure. Does it mean that Skylanders SuperChargers will make use of amiibo? Only time will tell! Fortunately E3 is just on the horizon.

Elliot Quest is receiving another new update later this month. On Miiverse, PlayEveryWare outlined what we can expect.
The big new addition is the arrival of the Miiverse Journal. This allows players to “directly post to Miiverse about what secrets you’ve found, take notes on what areas you need to come back to, or what puzzles you’re having trouble with”. The journal also shows all posts made by the community in that same room and all of the posts you’ve made on the island of Urele. Lastly, you can “Yeah!” another player’s post or quickly jump into the Miiverse app to respond to others.
Aside from the Miiverse Journal, PlayEveryWare is putting in option to change the control scheme. There will be several performance improvements as well.

A new game based on the Japanese PopoloCrois Story comic book series, and a new entry in the wildly successful Bokujo Monogatari farming and life simulation series, now known as STORY OF SEASONS in the West, Return to PopoloCrois: A STORY OF SEASONS Fairytale features both classically-styled turn-based combat and towns full of lively and interesting NPCs who contribute to a heartwarming narrative about friendship, forgiveness and the bounty of the earth that veterans and newcomers alike to either franchise can enjoy equally. Ample farming and life simulation elements are also on offer in this comprehensive crossover, including real-time crop-raising, bug-catching, rock-quarrying, item synthesis, and relationship forging. Players can collect over 600 items and undertake nearly 100 quests throughout the game, supplementing its 25+ hour main story with nearly unlimited potential for replayability. StreetPass™ features are also present, allowing players to connect with one another and earn bonus items through treasure-hunting.
