The February 2023 Pokemon Presents had lots of news and announcements, and we have a recap of it all via the official announcement. If you missed the presentation or are looking for a recap, the new press release should come in handy.
Here’s the fullFebruary 2023 Pokemon Presents recap announcement:
Today’s Pokemon Presents event contained a ton of information about Pokemon Scarlet / Violet, including the reveal of DLC and news that past creatures will be returning.
The Pokemon Company has now passed along word that fans “will be able to encounter over 230 familiar Pokemon that have been found living in other regions but had not appeared in Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet.” This includes creatures they’ll be able to bring to their games via Pokemon Home or those received in trades.

Three more Pokemon have just been revealed for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, with The Pokemon Company showing off Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. These creatures “are beloved by the people of the village as heroes that protected the land of Kitakami in the past, and stone statues were made in their likeness to express the people’s gratitude.”
The DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet kicks off with The Teal Mask and The Indigo Disk. As we previously detailed, The Teal Mask sends you off on a school trip to the land of Kitakami, where a great mountain towers over the land and the people live at its base. The Pokemon Company has teased that you’ll “meet new friends and Pokémon as they unravel the mysteries behind the folktales that have been passed down in this land.” Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti will all be appearing in The Teal Mask, but we don’t have any other specifics.
Here’s a closer look at Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti:
There’s more to come for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet in the future, as new DLC for the games is on the way known as The Hidden Treasures of Area Zero. This was just announced during today’s Pokemon Presents presentation.
Two parts for the DLC are planned. The first part, The Teal Mask, launches in Fall 2023. That’ll be followed by The Indigo Disk in Winter 2023.
Two new Paradox Pokemon have just been revealed for Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet – specifically Walking Wake and Iron Leaves. They are based on Suicune and Virizion.
These creatures are planned to be featured in a new 5-star Tera Raid Battle event. It’ll be going live not too long after today’s Pokemon Presents presentation, but it will end on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at 23:59 UTC.
Nearly four years after it was originally announced, Pokemon Sleep has finally reemerged. The app was shown off during today’s Pokemon Presents live stream and it was confirmed that the app launches in 2023.
In Pokemon Sleep, users will join Professor Neroli – who studies Pokémon sleep styles – and Snorlax, to carry out research into how Pokemon sleep. Also, the new Pokemon GO Plus + accessory will be compatible to track sleep in conjunction with a smartphone. The Pokemon GO Plus + will be available on July 14, 2023.
New information about Pokemon Unite was shared during the Pokemon Presents presentation today, including the reveal of Zacian. Additionally, players can access Boss Rush Mode in Quick Battle.
Until Sunday, March 26, at 4:59 p.m. PDT, players can roll dice they receive by logging in (and through other means) to advance squares on a board. They can earn adventure coins by completing missions on each square and then exchange them for Zacian’s Unite license.
Today, Forever Entertainment announced that it will publish Alekon on Switch. The game, which was made by The Alekon Company, is due out on April 6, 2023.
Alekon is a non-violent photography title in which players can unleash their creativity. More information can be found in the following overview:
Hamster will release Arcade Archives Sky Kid Deluxe on Switch this week, the company has announced. A worldwide release is planned for March 2, 2023.
Sky Kid DX, which was made by Namco, launched in 1986 – just a year after the original game (in fact that one is on the eShop right now). It’s a shooter featuring new missions, new enemies, and more. Local co-op is also supported again.
The new Pokemon Presents event for February 2023 will be starting soon, and we have the official live stream ready to go. Remember that the fun begins at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 2 PM in the UK / 3 PM in Europe.
The only tidbit shared thus far is that the new Pokemon Presents will contain “about 20 minutes of exciting Pokemon news in celebration of Pokemon Day 2023”. We could hear about currently-released games like Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and perhaps some new stuff as well, but fans have thus far been left to speculate.
