Balan Wonderworld demo announced

Update: The Balan Wonderworld demo is confirmed for worldwide release on January 28.
Original: A demo for Balan Wonderworld is in the works, Square Enix announced today. It will release on January 28.
We assume that all regions will have access, but Japan is the only officially confirmed territory for the demo at present. If it isn’t made available in the west, you should be able to access it on your Switch by setting up a Japanese Nintendo Account, registering it with your system, and accessing the Japanese eShop.
Balan Wonderworld’s demo will include access to the first two acts and boss battle for Chapter 1, first act of Chapter 4, and first act of Chapter 6. The Isle of Tims hub area is included as well. Local multiplayer is also supported.

Nintendo closed out the week by offering a demo for Buddy Mission Bond on the Japanese Switch eShop. For a look at some footage, check out the video below.
Buddy Mission Bond is due out for Switch in Japan on January 29. A release for the west has not been announced at this time.

Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos launches on Switch next month, demo out today, new trailer

Team17 and Heliocentric Studios shared a substantial status update on Rogue Heroes: Ruins of Tasos, the upcoming adventure roguelite.
First up, we now have a final release date. The game is confirmed to be launching digitally on February 23.
A demo is going live on the Switch eShop today ahead of release. The trial “introduces players to the mystical overworld and the first of the game’s puzzle-filled, procedurally-generated dungeons.” It supports local multiplayer for up to four players, with the full game promising online support.

Bandai Namco and Tarsier Studios have shared a new “Lost in Transmission” trailer for Little Nightmares II. Get a look at the video below.
Little Nightmares II is slated for February 11 on Switch. A demo for the game is now live on the Switch eShop in Europe and Australia – we assume it’ll be up in North America when the store updates later today.

Monster Hunter Rise demo arrives today

After announcing a demo for Monster Hunter Rise at The Game Awards last month, Capcom shared more news during a digital event that is currently on-going.
Let’s get the big news out of the way. Switch owners can see what Monster Hunter Rise has to offer when the demo launches today. It will be distributed via the eShop until February 1.
Players will be able to take on a Beginner Quest, Intermediate Quest, Basic Training Quest, and Wyvern Riding Training Quest. The Beginner Quest and Intermediate Quest can be played solo, but they also support local and online play.
